Maintenance%20(30)_cee022e76ac7d91931ffe

  • The rangefinder now works with binoculars.
  • A lack of the “Tracks” and “Brake system” modifications will now have less effect on a vehicle’s mobility.
  • Ground vehicle maneuverability in turns and pivots in RB and SB modes has been increased. Loss of power in turns has been decreased. These effects are different for every tank, but in general, turns and pivots now take significantly less time.
  • The operation of the ballistic computer for helicopters has been fixed.
  • Ikv 91 - horizontal and vertical shell dispersion rates have been reduced.
  • ZPRK 2S6 (modification 2S6M1), Сhallenger 2, FV 510 Warrior, Stormer HVM: the setup of the thermal vision sights has been changed to a more modern version.
  • SdKfz 234/1, /2, /3, /4 -  a bug with AP shells, where their fuses would not be cocked on particular hull parts of the required thickness, has been fixed.
  • T-55A, Type 74 -  The position of the IR projector now correctly coincides with the respective tank model.
  • T-62, T-62M1, T-62 (China) - the vertical aiming speed has been specified (increased) from 4.5 to 6 degrees per second. 1962
  • T-62M-1 - sight magnification has been improved from 7x to 8x, as ATGM launch requires 1K13 sight with 8x magnification.
  • T-55AM a bug with the use of minimum magnification for conventional sights and the maximum for the 1K13 sight has been fixed.
  • BMP-2 - sight magnification has been improved from 5.6 to 6. Gun depression angle has been specified (decreased) from -5 (actually only available with manual guidance) to -4 degrees.
  • AMX-10RC — buoyancy has been improved,  the rear doesn’t drown when the tank halts while afloat.
  • T-44 - tank weight has been specified (decreased) from 31.8 to 31 tons. Source:
  • T-72A - engine rpm has been decreased from 2100 to 2000 . Source: 1986
  • T-10M - 14.5mm machine gun ammo has been increased from 450 to 750 rounds. Source: 1960

Well that's excellent ! Nice little QOL.

I've been using the mounted MG to range find over unsafe hills. This'll be much easier and safer.

But how realistic would it be with laser range finders? Not that I'm complaining.

That last part, does it mean we can do something to be able to have -5 degrees ?

Great news, Chally 2's thermals are now pristine sharp instead of blurry.

nay for this

new vehicle experience will be even worst, as if burning to death wasn't enough:burned:

What does that mean exacly? they received next gen thermals? and why doesn't the chally 2 have commanders thermals?

Cool! Now finally thosee mods make sense! I always felt a bit meh before when investing RP and SL into those, now there's an advantage in using those!

The rangefinder now works with binoculars.

So you can rangefind with binos, that brings bino shooting to a whole new level since you can elevate the gun while in bino mode, you can just set the distance, come out of cover till the gun circle snaps on target, take the shot and back down, nobody expects it, you're less likely to be hit since target acquisition is faster than having to switch sights

As if it didnt up until now? It was near impossible for most tanks to turn, for those who had neutral steering you'd just randomly spin around in circles while moving around back and forth as since your tracks felt like they were covered in oil while driving on ice!. I hope this is a fix for the horribly unrealistic mobility without the tracks modification instead of a nerf...

Chally 2 and stormer with HD thermals? yeah that was needed, but tunguska with HD thermals? The best AA in the game just got better

Good stuff, the power loss on modern tanks felt a bit too much, only thing left is to fix the transmission so the driver doesnt constantly switch back and forth between 2 gears

why? was this unrealistic or is RB and SB just becoming another AB?

This change sound stupid if it was done w/o any bug-report background but just to make game more arcade

I assume that meant that although 5 degrees is the maximum achievable (if you hand crank), it is not usually/ normally done because the gun is laid using the motors inside the turret, so practical gun depression is only 4 degrees.

(it is only a guess though, don't eat me if I am wrong)

Tested the binoc rangefinder, and am happy that this has been implemented!

I see a little potential issue though with custom sights, that maybe devs are not aware of: The size and position of the rangefinder display is the same in the binoc as in the custom sight. This leads to problems for tanks where the magnification of the binoc differs very much from the magnification of the sight, as it places the rangefinder display outside of the visible area of the binocs.

I for example have now already seen that about half of my sights have the rangefinder display in a position where it's not visible from the binoculars, so I will have to adjust those sights...

Better would be if there would be a default position and size of the binoc rangefinder display (as binocs are the same over all tanks).

Or even better, allow customisation of the binocs even (as I'd love to have MILS grid with numbers, for example), just like for the tank sights themselves!  = )

Yes. 5 degrees is not available (because it was not available during normal use.

I also posted a several reports 3 days ago, havent even been looked at

But to me it does seem like ballistic computers for the turret work again, but only tested it in test drive
However, there are 2 other issues i have posted alongside this in the same sub

That happens on almost every tank in game.

It really should be fixed.

Most affected are for example Leopard 1s because they are moving in high gears mostly and they suffer extremely from that bug.

nice change but wouldnt it be better if that got added to "modern" commanders only. quick search suggests range finding binocs

came to market in 1992 so ww2 commanders prolly didnt have access to them

Hoping the helipads and associated AAA have been removed from the remaining Sim combined battles that do not feature helicopters.

As per my (still not approved) bug report of March 30th.

Edit - Nope, they have still not been removed.

Ballistic computer worked for me. Do note that not all helicopters get to have it.
Test run one of the premium helicopters and turn it on. See if you see it.

If these vehicles never had Thermal or NVD in real life, they wont in-game. If you think they did have it IRL and you have sources, make a bug report.

Has the tracks changes stopped the strv 103 butt wiggle when trying to aim?

Has improved strv 103 on flat ground but on slopes the aim will still snap apst the aiming pointm both on horizontal and vertical planes.
