3/5/2020 Etendard IVM - France : RADAR

Hi,

The Etendard IVM is missing a Radar, named as :
DRAA 3D "Aïda" (E.S.D for "Electronique Serge Dassault)

 

 

The Radar is located in the nose as the N°2 mark said "Pointe Radar" (in english it will say "Radar Spade")

The Radar will work like the following data's:

Location of the Radar component in the nose - Location of commands in cockpit - Graph of Radar Ranging for both Air-Air and Air-Surface//Air-Sea) - Information on HUD for Air-Air use of Radar

Description of both radar location and capabilities

information on radar scope + Performance of Lock non depending of the size/type target.

Performances of search depending of the target size

 

i'll put all those information together for You/Devs, and in english:
 

the Radar is capable of:

1- Air-Air

search scope is between 3km to 15km

find and lock a Mono-jet engine at 8km (average distance for a target showing is rear)

find and lock a Mono-Propeller engine at 12km (average distance for a target showing is rear)

find and lock a Bi-Propeller engine at 15km (average distance for a target showing is rear)

 

once the lock is done, it will stand for the following distance range : 0.6km to 20km

(the type of aircraft bring no impact on the lock range)

 

2- Air-Ground - giving information to the SAAB AX26 CCIP

search scope is between 3km to 20km

find and lock a building at 20km (average distance)

find and lock a vehicule at 5km (average distance)

 

once the lock is done, it will stand for the following distance range : 0.6km to 20km

(the type of Vehicule/ bring no impact on the lock range)

 

3- Air-Sea - givin information to the SAAB AX26 CCIP

search scope is between 3km to 38km

find a Carrier/Battleship/Cruiser at 38km (average distance) + lock at 20km

find and lock a Destroyer/Heavy Sub-chaser at 20km (average distance - Metallic target)

find and lock a Patrol boat at 15km (average distance - Metallic target)

 

once the lock is done, it will stand for the following distance range : 0.6km to 20km

(the type of Vehicule/ bring no impact on the lock range)

 

4- The Radar Scope is frontal cone of 25°x25°

 

5- The Lock give the Distance information between the Etendard and the locked target (Telemetric function once Locked on)
