Reapair costs of Maus and Stormer HVM in the SB are too high. Maus is still in the 8-2 event only and against T-54s, Object-268 etc. is obsolete. 7.000cr is more equal. Repair cost of the Stormer is out of scale - it must directly hit the target (plane or heli), it is missing autocannon or any other weapon for self defence and close ranges, like 2S6 (6.900cr - is too low for the best AAA/TD in the game, but it is russian vehicle, so it is acceptable)  :facepalm:

Looks like devs doesn't know, what happened on the battlefield. :dntknw:

Are you sure about the new cost of the Chinese IS-2 in AB?
2800 SL -> 8500 SL, while the Russian identical IS-2 costs 2370 SL in AB.
Honestly, that seems a bit hard to justify (especially since both Russian and Chinese line-ups at this BR 5.3-5.7 range are almost as good).

 

I admit with @Happalula, that the new cost (especially in RB: 14000 SL) of the mediocre Conqueror is hard to understand.


As a final note, sad to see that the cost of the Lorraine 40t increases again in RB/SB (18240 SL stock in RB, hence, around 25000 SL spaded; 20000 SL in SB stock!), confirming its place as the most expensive RB/SB tank in a regular ground tech tree (only the marginal E-100 and the Maus are more expensive). Yet, the lower cost of several other French tanks is definitely a positive note (in particular, the - still expensive - AMX-30 (1972) and AMX-50 that have seen their repair cost decrease in the previous and current economy changes).

Only number i see that will affect my games (GFAB 5.7) is Waffentrager visible increase in repair...

 

I for one AGREE with it...as i think there were a bit too many such vehicles in matches...considering it was a prototype and should be RARE on the battlefield...

(I know this is NOT consensual...but to me it MAKES SENSE).

 

Earlier "Economy" actions to adjust Jumbos also seemed to have the RIGHT effect...so i am hoping this does the same...namely, Waffentrager still strong and usable, but less present...

 

All other GFAB up to 5.7 numbers seem minor adjustments...unless i missed something...

Holy crap, could it be!?! The B-29 is finally gonna have it's cost nearly cut in half! It won't make negative money anymore with it's absurd 60k repair.
Or least cheap enough of a loss to finally knock the dust off it and enjoy it.

Why are british mid tiers STILL getting more expensive? They were extortionate enough already, now it's just ridiculous with brit 6.7-7.3 tanks costing more than most 10.0-10.3 tanks


What options are left to UK players trying to grind through tier 5 now? The ONLY vehicle with <10k repair costs is the conway, a tank so garbage even the 5k stock repair is ten times too much.


Few enough players use british tanks as it is. What purpose do these ridiculous repairs even serve? It's not like UK tanks are being spammed, or that they're even that good.

why did the repairs on many vehicles with already high repairs increase?

 

Balancing by repair cost DOES NOT WORK all it does is drive players away from the game

 

repaircosts have no reason to exist and do nothing but hurt the game: remove them all

A lot of reductions but as usual a lot of the changes don't make sense especially for the sim meta.
for example:


B-57B, the most widely spammed zomber  had its repair cost reduced fro 25k to 17k (i.t. it costs 12k -> 8k spawn cost in EC)

Il-28, Il-28Sh: These two aircraft actually should be rightfully balanced at BR 9.3 because they are that good of a fighter. In fact they are actually better than the MiG-21 if you actually play a role of an air defence fighter with them. That's right, a bomber is a better interceptor than the actual interceptor. But people just typically zomber in it and suicide after bombing so it gets pretty bad statistics like all of the other bombers. So stop reducing the cost of this vehicle. There are way more vehicles out there that deserve a lower repair cost. Heck, as a terrible RB, where bombers often get smashed in and where I am a terrible player, I still managed to get a KDR of 3:2 in this plane by trolling around, so I wonder if this plane should ever move up BR in that mode too.
Then there are other aircraft that are simply labelled as cancer like the Be-6 and the A2D which are extremely good vehicles for their BR that people even occasionally happily uptier them to rank 6 because there's actually more benifit to fighting BR 10.3 or 7.7 aircraft because they're less likely to get spotted. For example if we'll look at the A2D:
A2D 2.5k -> 1.8k (i.e. it is cheaper than some rank 3 planes! This is actually one of the top 5 balancer breakers in EC, and you're balancing it wrong! It has an AVERAGE of 90% win rate! And that includes the  players who don't even know how to recover from a simple stall! And it is uptiered to supersonic battles all the time! You're doing it wrong if you're balancing it based off KDR alone because it is not a fighter nor an interceptor.)


You're not helping the sim community out by doing these economy changes! While  I'm happy that the costs of certain vehicles has certainly reduced, it actually just hurts the gameplay meta even more by a bit because you're just zeroing-out the the soon-to-come simulator 50% reward changes and the zombering will still not change! Actually if my guess is right, the change will also apply to non-bombers so the patch will only hurt the game mode even more.

Then there are some straight-up weird ones which makes sense if you consider KDR, but the actual case of the actual game its the complete opposite of what the statistics would suggest:
Hunter F.1: 16k->18k
while
F.6 16k -> 11.8k
Considering how much better and how much more versitile the F.6 is comapred to the F.1 in its capacity to spam rockets to destroy bases and then SRAAM the living heck out of everything versus the F.1's guns only capacity, you're doing it wrong.. Hunters are also used a "zomber" unit although no where as bad as the dedicated bombers and planes like the F-4 phantom.
Also good to see the hunter FGR.2 went down from 83k stock to 35k. That was a bit of a stupid decision, even if the aircraft is the best performing in the game right now especially because no one is really able to use it effectively.

Also regarding the new bomber changes, that will still not fix the underlying issue becuase not only economically-wise. Consider adding a dynamic TNT/rocket loadout based SP cost: 

Zomber definition: A user simply braindead flying where you just take-off anf fly straight and drop bombs with no concern for their own lives because the spawn costs and spawn point cost is basically free compared to the reward each sortie yields, so some literally alt-tab out. Typically these guys earn more than twice the rate of the equivalent fighters at rank 4-6. It is these guys who earn rediculous amounts of RP like 100k+ per game while most legitimate, even veteran sim pilots barely even earn 20k RP per game with 10-20 kills.

I'll be honest, I'm very concerned with the state of French tanks at this point, namely the Lorraine 40t. I used to love playing France until I got to 7.3, and then I literally couldn't progress any further because the repair costs were crippling me. If I performed average in a match and lost (two kills and one capture zone), I'd still lose 26K SL. It got to the point where I heavily considered quitting the game, as I was no longer getting enjoyment out of it, the first time that thought had crossed my head since starting in 2016.

 

Personally, I believe repair costs should only be used as a balancing mechanic as a temporary stopgap when a vehicle starts to break the game, until a better solution can be found (whether this be a BR change, mechanics change, or outright removal in the worst cases). Although I wasn't really playing tanks much when the Lorraine was introduced, I understand that the vehicle stomped at the time, so I could see why the repair cost was justified, but since then, its BR has been raised from 6.7 to 7.3, and the autoloader mechanics have been updated to include the drum, meaning that the autoloader is no longer a breaking factor in a tank. As it sits now, the Lorraine is France's most competitive vehicle at 7.3, which is arguably the first decently rounded lineup France gets after 4.7. I consider myself an average tank player, but once I've hit 7.3, I don't see how progression is possible with these repair costs, on top of having to purchase and crew new vehicles.

At its current state, it seems like the French tech tree is reserved for the "wealthy" in game, that can afford to take a hit to their SL and not have to worry about not being able to repair their vehicles. I've talked to several of my squadmates about this issue, and so far the only real counter argument I've been able to find is "just don't die," which I really don't believe is a strong argument in the slightest.

 

I love this game, I really do. I think Gaijin has a good thing going for it, and it's easy to take that for granted some times, as I know developing/moderating this game and these forums is a tough job, but I'm just finding it harder and harder to enjoy the game when my favorite vehicles can bankrupt me if I have a few adequate to poor matches.

In arcade the british Achilles premium tank earns about as much as his free twin. I bought that premium for real money with a multiplier of ~2. Now it has a multiplier of 1.2, while the free tank has 1.1.

That is not a premium tank any longer!

While the rewards look premium in RB and SB, they certainly are not premium in AB. And this for quite some time! As a customer who bought this vehicle for real money in your store, I actually feel cheated.
