Changes not listed in patch notes, month of October 2019:

1. Mid October 2019: Bombs, or at least German bombs, reduced 20% when bombing air fields.

2. With release of 1.93 in late October the 2x bombing reward that started with earlier Modular Airfields corrected.  Now the bombing results = TNT dropped.

 

Planned economy changes - 02.12.2019 (2 December 2019)

"Now in SB for the bombing of enemy bases and airfields you will receive 50% at that time reward. The remaining 50% will be received after return to the allied airfield."  All other action regardless of air unit is rewarded full amount (100%) instantly.

Partial storing of respawn points after battle has been disabled for Enduring Confrontation aviation battles in RB and SB modes.

Everyone starts with 0 SP, forced to spawn base unit or lower in each EC bracket.

  • Enduring confrontation. The front  line now reflects the shape of sectors (now it is drawn not with a curved line, but with rectangular lines along the borders of sectors).
  • Naval Enduring confrontation. Known and reported bugs with the visualization of the front line on Malta and Saipan after capturing and recapturing ports, have been fixed.
  • Naval Enduring confrontation. A bug has been fixed when the base targeted for bombing, located in the same square as the port, did not disappear when capturing the port.
  • Naval Enduring confrontation. Disabling the respawn point in port is now possible only when the number of enemy vessels is greater than the friendly ones (only for ships and player-controlled aircraft which have landed either on the ground or at sea). A lone vessel can no longer block the respawn.

 

War Thunder "Raining Fire" 1.101 (2 September 2020).

By look seems to be mostly cosmetic changes, could not find anything substantial to matches.

From patch notes:

Enduring Confrontation 

  • In the Enduring Confrontation mode in the “English Channel” location, a 4th sea port has been added for each side. The total number of sea ports in the mission is now 8. 
  • Aircraft that are in the air will no longer be counted in capturing the sea ports.
  • New Naval Enduring Confrontation in the “Denmark” location has been added. 4 seaports for each side which is 8 in total and the size of the battlefield is 86x86 km.

  • Base models for bombing have been changed to the correct ones, their functionality is now similar to “Enduring Confrontation” mode. After destruction, bases may respawn randomly in certain positions, designed for every mission.

Enduring Confrontation

  • A bug where the same ground battle might begin in several squares (some units spawned in one square, some in another) has been fixed.
  • A bug where several battles might happen at the same time (usually two opposite battles) in the same quadrant has been fixed.
  • AI bombers will now be spawned at different altitudes depending on the battle rank.
  • Enduring Confrontation Khakhin-Gol - The positions of some airfields have been changed. Another potential position of a base for bombing has been added.
  • A bug where in some missions some airfields were without air defense coverage has been fixed.
  • A bug where a player that re-joined the game session increased the number of victory points for their team has been fixed.
  • A bug where in the Enduring Confrontation mission in the location Tunisia, the airfields were too close to the centre of the map so that at higher ranks, the time of approach to the front line from distant airfields was too short.
  • The respawn time of anti-aircraft guns on airfields has been decreased (previously it could take several minutes after the mission start). 
  • A situation where the ground convoys stopped appearing has been fixed.
  • The maximum number of simultaneously active convoys has been increased from one to three.
  • Some bugs with the appearance of convoys which led to the occasional jamming or severe stretching of the column have been fixed. The convoy vehicles should now move more evenly.
  • The convoy destruction task and highlighting of convoy vehicles in AB mode now occur when all convoy vehicles have spawned.

There are several undocummented direct and indirect changes like the removal of new guinea EC, T-54s for ground tanks in ranks 5-6 (which was accidentally reverted later - I remembered one time I got killed by an AI t-54 once, everyone was like wtf in chat at how that was possible), dynamic capture points which effects ground but also air (which also partially reverted later which is why capture points reward so little nowadays due to the halved static reward and lack of functioning dynamic reward). On the plus side, there are also uncodummented fixes such as the hangar hitbox issue on some types of EC airfields where the hitbox was the area in front of the hangars and not the hangars themselves and AI not starting their engines up and so on.

Recently there was also an undocummented change to bombing rewards in regards to EC. Bombing with a single FAB-3000 used to reward around 85SP but now it rewards like 220 which is quite a buff. This means that if I catch an AI or player taking off in the il-28 with my bomb when I bomb the airfield, I can basically already take out the supersonics.

This the patch, which made it all go down to where we are now. its not that 50:50 but in general you get so so so much less for an airkil then like in sim gf. one airkill in sim gf 20k. with 50:50 this should be 10k in sim ec. same plane in sim ec you get 2-3k... why?

idea was to give bonus for landing but of course we got GJned and they gave us penalty for not landing :dntknw:

I know... i was there when it happend =/

but that alone isnt the main problem. with this patch and economic change came too, which leaded to this null income for kills in sim ec compared to other modes.

If that was true I’ve often wondered why my landing bonus was so big when I haven’t flown a bomber, which ought to be the only type subject to the Landing bonus if this were true.  Just checked my results from an EC where I flew just one type - P-63 - and landed each sortie.  Sum total of my SL reward for Kills, Assists, Crit hits, Hits and Zone caps was exactly what my Landing reward was, so, aside from rewards for Battle Time, half of every SL reward is withheld until landing.

 

To confirm that SL rewards for non-bombing actions aren’t added to the Landing “pot” regardless of whether you really land, I’ve just flown another EC where I made sure to crash or get shot down a couple times, and in this case the Landing reward is less than Kills, Assists etc added up.
 

Yet another mechanic that just does not work as advertised.  Like you (often) can not switch airfields when you respawn, though of course, you pay the SL for a ‘new’ aircraft.  Like modular airfields will not “remain on the map when destroyed as emergency landing grounds and repair slowly over time.”

 

Why mention this in the Planned Economy Changes Notes if you haven’t done it?

 

Some more P2W premiums ought to paper over these cracks and make everything in the garden smell of roses.

So the Landing reward in Fighters (no bomb carry) is about 50% of the activities?

I have no control of anything in EC.

Oh FFS, I know very well you’re just posting links to/ copying what Gaijin have announced.  You didn’t write the Planned Economy Changes Notes, did you?  The ‘you’ refers to the writer of the notes, Gaijin.

 

I didn’t take screen shots, but it happened as described nonetheless.  Easy to reproduce at the end of any EC.  Maybe I’ll take some shots, maybe I just can’t be bothered; maybe it would do them some good if someone from Gaijin played an EC and saw it first-hand. :lol2: 
 

Seriously, you think Gaijin might not know how it is they didn’t implement the change they announced?

I get PM's basically saying I created the game and in control of these changes.  

Anyone reading your post would use that a proof that I am in charge.

Whenever they’ve been bullied into removing external sounds so you no longer hear enemy aircraft, it’s only a week or so before another patch ‘accidentally’ reintroduces the magic acoustic warning device.  Let’s face it, Gaijin do not want that level of realism in their ‘sim’; they want players to get that warning.  This is a game where the sound level of your own engine is on a special slider and not on the same slider as every other sound. It’s a deliberate, built-in exploit.
