Out of curiosity: are the D-12 and D-13 similar performance-wise?

As far as I understand the only difference between them is the 30mm gun and some supposedly different propeller. So how much are they apart?

and both have a bit different engine, Jumo 213 E and F1 too, but indeed the prop makes a lot difference too

So what should it feel like to fly the D-12 in game?

Moderate climber or rather fast? Average turner or awful? Energy retainer or bleeder? Better at high, mid or low altitude?

Good Climber, phantastic roll rate, you have to keep your speed, so, in other words, the elevator is part of the airbreak ;-)

Its due its weight of 4.4T a very stable gun platform, fly it as a classic boom and zoom (energy fighter) and you can't go wrong, basicly the D12 and D13 was build as high altitude interceptor.

The D9, build on the Jumo213A was the low alt variant, but was really lacking above 6km

Shouldn't the D-12's engine produce about the same power as the D-13's engine?

Because in game I noticed the D-12, under full power, has a manifold pressure of 1.54 ata at sea level, while the D-13 has a manifold pressure of 1.69 ata. In addition the D-12's engine runs at 3,150 RPM while the D-13 runs at 3,250 RPM. Most noticeably the D-12 takes off much slower than the D-13.

Is this the correct performance of the plane?

Impressive work!
I have a question though, maybe it's just me, who doesn't understand this, but the D-13's are going to stay the same? Because in my opinion they are a bit underwhelming at the moment (especially climb-rate wise). Or are they getting the same-ish flight model as the D-12?

Thanks!
