AUBL/74 HVG (Fiat 6616)

Well since it's been out and nobody has mentioned it's overall combat capability so far, I might as well.

60mm APFSDS, less than 1kg? Not a problem, easy kills and a reminder (or a reality for those that didn't know) that APFSDS post-pen does not solely rely nor even majorly affected by shell mass unlike typical AP rounds

Other than that, pretty appropriate BR for it currently. Seeing as how it decimates T-10ms frontally at ranges, hardly much of an issue of going up against armor

I have been wondering, is the camo historical or purely fictional?

The main camo is the olive green one as all other post war italian vehicles (prototypes were painted often with sand yellow or olive green).

The 3 tone scheme is a "semi-historical" based on the peruvian army one.

Thanks for the reply. On the same note but slightly off topic, shouldn't standard camo (olive drab) on our modern MBTs have a more greenish hue? Right now they almost look more brown than green.

why is this thing has a very bad acceleration?

at most in open fields i can only do around 45-52kmh and 70kmh on the road.

can this thing even reach the top speed

IIRC the engine only has 160 HP so a rather small hp/ton ratio.

You Tuber , Napalmratte, did a detailed review of the AUBL/74 HVG  in which included  some informative charts comparing its specs with other higher tier vehicles.

This afternoon, I was looking for information on the Oto-Melara 60mm HVGS gun mounted on AUBL / 74 HVG
(the Italian armored vehicle of the H.E.A.T event) and I found some interesting articles, in which it is written that the system
of auto-recharge (Autoloader) is able to fire 30 rounds per minute, 1 every 2s, while in the vehicle card in
WT charging is 6.9s. I ask the experts, why this recharge time difference?
P.S. The articles refer explicitly to the Fiat 6616 armored vehicle used to house the turret
with Oto-Melara 60mm HVGS, creating a single WT AUBL / 74 HVG prototype.

In the game, the HVG is manually loaded, if you look at the bottom of the second page that you posted, under the "Variant" title, you'll see that the turret mounted on the AUBL was manually loaded.

You're right, I hadn't noticed the word "manual"

Well, while we're not getting a 2 seconds autoloader, your documents seems to state that the FCS should provide us with a laser rangefinder, wich it currently doesn't have right now.

So, if you or anyone knows if it's that particular FCS that's mounted on the AUBL, that would be good...

I add this photo taken from: "A century of Italian armored cars/ Un secolo di autoblindate in Italia, N. Pignato" (as you can see the periscope of the commander and the box behind the turret are photoshopped, thanks to @Technickman81 for pointing this out)

The AUBL/74 HVG isn't a pay to win tank. It's a reward vehicle from an event and almost everyone who played war thunder over the past year has one. And it's a very challenging vehicle to play since it has absolutely no armor to speak of. Anything with a 50 cal can machine gun it do death, so if you get seen, you're dead.

If you're having trouble with AUBLs and are playing high tier Russians, then start your games with HE. You don't even have to hit an AUBL with HE to kill it. You can literally just shoot the ground next to them and they're dead. AUBL hiding behind a building overlooking your spawn? Pop the ground behind the corner of the building. AUBL hiding just over the crest of a small rise on the Mozdok map? Shoot a tree behind him.  They go POP!

As much as AUBL is pretty annoying while playing against ITA (it goes for any nation) I don't see that happening often. Maybe its time to change your tactics and play more cautiously when going against ITA.

Lol he can pen you with the 60mm gun you can pen him with an 7.62mm gun...you guys make me laugh and i don't even have the AUBL74/HVG

lmao he can oneshot you with the needle, if he shoots first and it happens 99% of times even while going 100km it has pin point accuracy meanwhile if you manage to shoot with mg's they don't work usually 3 mags will do the job

I know, i'm not talking about the past event reward, but now it is p2w, its not challenging lol, its super fast it can cap a point and then get into a position and cut you off with oneshot needle, try to hit that with machinegun, if you do you will need a few mags

It is not easy, there is counterplay but its dependant of several things:

- what vehicle are you using

- what map you are playing

- what your team composition (which nation you are paired with)

In Russian tech tree there are BMP-1, Obj 906 & BMP-2 within common BR range and BMP-3 & Obj 685 at the end of AUBL BR range. When going against ITA RU is commonly paired (not always though) with US/UK which also have fast vehicles to counter AUBL.
