Yeah it's basically just passive research, all you have to do to gain the maximum possible is max out your squad points per 3 days, and be in an active squad.

No squad activities or anything required.. which makes this whole thing just weird if it's supposed to promote squads or whatever.

It's actually explained in the original post, although easily overlooked but it's as follows: 

If you leave the squadron, the research progress will be saved. Research will continue as soon as you join another squadron.

You wont be able to research it any longer, but any research you put towards it in the squadron will stay. Then when you join another squadron, the research will be whatever it was when you got kicked from the other squadron.

I was iffy on the execution of this feature, but I'm impressed!

 

You know an easy way to add more available vehicles to this?  Add old event vehicles after certain points in time.....

Research is exclusive to you, being a squad just mulitplies the amount of research you get based on how many people are in the squad and how active they are, upto 20k SP max or 56 people maxing out.

 

If it's just you, you can 360 per 3 days, which will require 17 years to unlock the current 3 vehicles, every extra player in the squad can potentially add another 360 SP per 3 days.. so 10 people would research 10x360 so 3600 research points.

 

How much you get depends on the squad activity as well as your personal activity, relative to the average of the squad. If you perform below average you won't get the entire squad earnings, if you perform above you will.

I'm looking for assistance. I acquired the Plane. Then I noticed the game started researching the ship on it own. Is there way I can stop it from continuing to research. I don't want ships or tanks. Please save yourself typing free vehicles wont hurt. I'm looking for assistance in not acquiring them short of not being in a squadron. Thanks in advance.

I don't think you can stop researching a vehicle while in a squadron, but you can only stop researching a vehicle if you are not in a squadron at all.

Looks like you can just change the vehicle you're researching though, and you have to apply to research as well, so possibly you can even save up SP for something worthwhile.

Can i keep my squadron reseach points for the next vehicles? I mean when GJ will put another 3 vehicles, the research made (but not assigned) will remain?

Looks like the answer to that is no.. after getting 180k I get a popup telling me to invest my points in one of the vehicles and I can't click it away... I don't want any of the current vehicles and was hoping to save up for the next one, but gotta play by their rules it seems.. so lame. Why can't you let people use the points the way they want?

The activity will be saved and you will be prompted/offered to use it. '' 

 

Promoted/offered actually means you're forced to use it.

I mean I don't like any of them, so my whole idea was to use the research my squadron and I earned on something I want to spend it on, as they already announced they would use more in the future. I don't see how it would harm anyone to just allow players to save it up, with the GE option available it's going to be around from day 1 anyways after release.

I have recently joined a squadron.  My activity is 360/360 but my percentage is 45% and doesn't move beyond this no matter how much more I play.  I thought this was because I joined half way through the 3 day period but the same thing happened the next period.  Why does the personal % not equal my numerical progress out of 360 points?

 

[Edit] I have been playing helicopter enduring confrontation.  Perhaps it only counts some, like the first 30 minutes of each game?

The percentage indicator is bugged. If you are at 360/360, you should get the maximum squad RP your squad earned. Don't worry, I got my 20,000 RP the last few times with "43%".

Yes. Click on your squadron, Activity and then it says, "The period will end:.......".

For me the squadron vehicles needs to be voted by the players of each nation, give the comunity a 3 option choice (tank, plane or ships) and then gaijin adds them. But never showing the name of the machine, like a surprise.
