12/5/19 US bombs wrong explosive filler

Hello!

 

Currently in WT many American bombs use the wrong explosive filler and filler amount The bombs in question are:

 

• 750lbs M117 (in US, french and japanese techtree as JM117 )
• 1000lbs M65A1 Fin M129
• 2000lbs M66A2

 

All these bombs currently use a Amatol filler, however when you look at their 3D model and historical data they should have a Tritonal filler.

Tritonal is a explosive with a RE factor of about 1.07 - 1.26

 

On top of that their explosive mass is wrong.

 

M117:

WT: 174.1kg -> IRL 386lbs  / 175.1kg

 

M65A1 Fin M129

WT: 240kg -> IRL 595lbs / 269,9kg

 

M66A2:

WT: 535,6kg -> IRL 1181lbs / 535,7kg

Estimating Equivalency Of Explosives Through A Thermochemical Approach

Tritonal is a mixture of  ~80% TNT and ~ 20%  Alluminium powder, its detonation is roughly 7% stronger than TNT

However further up its RN factor lays between 26% - 120% stronger than TNT depending on how much of the alluminium reacts in the detonation.
