Client update 1.85.0.152
 

  • A bug where players would hear the sound of a jet engine when a helicopter was passing over their vehicle has been fixed (source).
  • A bug occurring when setting a specific firing distance and switching between different gun sights, where the sights would be misplaced and move upwards or to another point, has been fixed (source).
  • A bug occurring when switching the shell type in the second-order ammunition rack, where the shells were reloading at the same speed as the shells from the first-order ammunition racks, has been fixed (source).
  • A bug while piloting helicopters using the 3rd person view, where ATGM crosshairs would move outside the center of the sight, has been fixed.
  • A bug that caused rare graphical artifacts in battles has been fixed (source).
  • The following changes have been made for aircraft strikes in ground forces Arcade Battles:
    • Aircraft line-up has been reworked - French and Italian aircraft have been added; a large amount of new fighters, attackers and bombers has been added; attacker weaponry has been mainly replaced by missiles.
    • Interceptor respawn zones have been limited so they can not appear in front of, nor behind, the event initiator, thereby stopping attacks being made from those respective flanks.
    • Defender respawns are now in the specified radius relative to the interceptors, and not the initiator. If there are several defenders, the interceptors will be distributed between them.
    • Defender respawns are now in the direction of the interceptors and not in the course of the initiator.
  • “Vietnam” location: Radio message from Hanoi Hannah to American soldiers has been added.

  • Ha-Go - now available after reaching rank 2 of the Japanese ground forces.
  • H.35, FCM.36  - now available after reaching rank 2 of the French ground forces.

Yeeeeeeey, finaly!

I lost so many battles at Norway because of that damn graphical glitch.

 

And i would really not call that one "rare". It appeared everytime in certain maps, and it was reported independently by many users. Pleases remove that word from the post.

so still no economy changes or BR reworks at all?

It's very nice to see that the removed Japanese and French tanks have returned. Now, everyone has again access to these vehicles.

Nothing yet on how you're getting scouting function back to the M22 Locust, or why it was removed?

Relevancy is that the M22 dropped to Rank 1 in the same patch that removed the Ha-Go and French tanks, an action that disabled spotting functions in a tank literally described as a scouting vehicle on the wiki.

 Thanks! My favorite tanks are available for everyone! FCM.36 was the most fun tank to play with, even before the update that raised it reload speed. It took some time to get good with it though.

Good changes especially the jet sound above my tank, thought I was going crazy every time I heard this :D was hoping for some AMX10RC fixes along side this but oh well. any news on those fixes?

Day 35: Fw 190 C weapons are still not fixed. Come on Gaijin, why does it take ages to fix them? it's just a 10 minute job to readjust which gun is which. I've been waiting more than a month now for the glitched guns to be fixed. There has been a bug report on it too, so why does it take that long? or you simply don't care about it?

Devs are aware of the vehicles issues and a fix is coming soon.

Glad to see the tanks are returned in a fair way.

 

But really, this issue should never have occurred in the first place.

 

I'll still call for a return to historical penetration. Rather than fantasy calculators.

Since those vehicles were added back into the game, is there a possibility that older aircraft that have been removed will be added back into the game, even if it is in something like a T2-3 reward box for war bonds?

Great you have returned the Ha-Go H35 and FCM however there is still the question if Owners of the Premium Ha-Go tank should be refunded in Gold Eagles.

As the normal tank is deemed Unplayable by the devs (as can be seen by the original restriction of the Ha-Go) .

A 50 % or 100 % reimbursment of the original Gold Eagles or a return to the old pen of the Premium Ha-Go or a New Premium Tank which players of the Old Premium Tank get for free is a fair Solution

While it is problematic to never nerf premium tanks it is even more problematic to nerf premium tanks without them being overpowered and therefore somewhat deserve a nerf

As this is not a normal nerf of a premium vehicle it should certainly be fixed

(Ofcurse would i also like to see more nerfs to be properly addressed such as KV2-Zis6  but that is a different case and not normal for Gaijin)

Quick question, whatever happened to Naval Mines? Are they still in development? Was this question already answered? If so please direct me to the announcement or just answer me plainly, much appreciated. And keep up the great work Gaijin! I can't wait for more stuff!

There are no new airplanes in the line-up: am I missing something?

All in all, very good changes. 

One thing I would have liked though, was that the interceptors be of the same BR/Make of the initiator. Spawning in with a Mosquito or AD-4 and being chased by a MiG-17 and YaK-19 is not fun. 

Second thing, make the bombers more comparable. The bomber button for some will bring in a Canberra during the match, the next person gets the K2Y2...

The fighter changes are extremely welcome - having your escort planes fly away and kill enemy SPAA while enemy fighters take your bomber out if one of the worst flaws of tier I tank AB. We'll see how the change to rockets for attackers will affect things - colour me intrigued.

 

Ha-Go, FCM 36 and H35 returned for new players - great! These tanks might not be the most powerful machines, but everyone should get a chance to try them.

 

Bug fixes are always a plus, though I have to wonder where the fix to square shadows(https://forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/437475-forwarded31122018-185-tree-shadowmisc-shadows-issue/) is...

 

All in all, a very nice update!

 

Speaking of updates, any news on how Vulkan is coming along? I can't wait to see it go official(available without config file manipulation). It's a matter of doubling the FPS for Linux players(at least on AMD GPUs)

This update created a new bug, sitting at B capture point on Vietnam map with another enemy tank and we couldn't shoot at each other. Everybody clicking like hell but no shots...

As soon we left the capture point guns would work again!

Does this mean that autoloaders FINALLY work correctly and have the right amount of shells?

 

can't wait for the Chi-Ri to finally make use of the only thing that makes it unique
