Thanx for the help It means you are in their squad, if you didn't squad with someone then it put you into that squad randomly. There are couple benefits to being squad such as Supporting Fire award, and in-game chat you can type in squad chat, and that's about it. Ok, now how do I squad with someone, at the beginning before you spawn onto the battle field or......where do I go? and how many squad leaders are there in one battle? sorry for the 20 questions but I'm having fun but I need to be more coordinated with my teamplay, and have a clue out there.. No problem. In this game, to squad you either: Navigate to the bottom right of the hangar screen and click the "+" button to invite someone from your friends list. There can be a maximum of 4 people in your squad. And when you go in game, it is completely random who you are squaded with (if you didn't pre-squad with a friend).
