@Drakoumil If this is ever going to go anywhere to attract the attention of Gaijin, you would probably need sponsors to help create reward for the tournament. If possible i would suggest contacting 'Razor' as they already have contact with the company through the support for the 'stream'..

The only reason the initial Thunder League was well received was because of the dog tags and associated rewards that were easily obtainable for the majority of the playerbase if they purchased a dog tag. Streams were only popular due to associated giveaways of the RBT-5 and other rewards. Viewers were constantly reminded of this during the commentary, which left much to be desired.

How do you plan on making this successful if the third party tournament isn't fully supported by Gaijin, which seems likely given they haven't launched their own second tournament?

the plan is for thunder league s2 to be a gaijin tournament, not 3rd party one. this initiative is here to get gaijins attention and to provide proof of concept and also to show that everyone in esports community is united and that we want to have more esport content.

and we also plan to include streamer/youtubers and more

The original thunder league was largely sponsored by the community, we bought dogtags in the gaijin store that funded the tournament and gave us rewards like the panther tV (one of my favorite vehicles to this day).

@zerbah have you seen this?

@WhiskeyTangoF I'm aware as to how the funds for the last thunder league were raised.. However as this 'promotion' tournament is not gaijin endorsed yet, a way to entice the game developers to take on board an idea is to hand them a neatly wrapped present, sponsors and all.. Maybe that would entice them to endorse a league and get it running again

thats why proof of concept is neccesary for both potential sponsors and for gaijin to take this seriously. that is what the promotion tournaments will be for.
