  1. 1. Would you like to see the D-3801 added to the French TT in WarThunder?

    • Yes, as a premium !!
    • Yes, in a Swiss-Belgian-(Dutch?) line !
    • Nah, the Swiss would just wreck the matchmaker with their neutrality...
  2. 2. Do you want just one D-3801 or an early and late version?

    • One with rockets and one without, sounds good
    • A single plane will do
    • I don't want these dirties anyway

Seeing as I have not seen any suggestions for it, neither here nor in the German suggestions : I would like to suggest the Morane-Saunier D-3801

In short : the D-3801 is a license-built Morane-Saunier MS-406, fitted with a more powerful engine, Swiss guns and rockets!!

Quick History:

In 1938, the Helvetic Confederation received two prototype MS-406H for testing. Satisfied with the plane, they bought the license for it and produced 82 fighters under the D-3800 designation (modified with Swiss armament and instruments). However, comparing it with their other fighter of German origin (Bf 109 E-3), they could only realise that the MS-406 was an inferior plane to the Emil. The Swiss therefore developed their upgraded version of the MS-406, the D-38011, which received a more powerful engine and some armour. After the end of the second World War and with the ageing D-3801 rapidly growing more obsolete, they were slightly modified to be able to fill a ground attacker role, carrying bombs or rockets. A total of 204 D-3801 were built, with some D-3800 also being upgraded with the new engine. Finally, they made a last development on the MS-406 cell (on which I'll make another suggestion), the D-3802, with more powerful armament.

1: apparently, there is some confusion as to the relation between the MS-412 and the D-3801, with some saying it's the same plane, and others that they are different
