I think _IFF's concern is more that the game ending when the third airfield is destroyed causes the matches to end early.  I've seen this myself, where one player on the German team in Tier 2 can end the match in little over 60 minutes by himself.  I hope that the new system will make accurate bombing far more important, and maybe make it harder to end the game by just bombing the airfields.  Or maybe you could make the last airfield respawn somewhere else after a few minutes...
 

 

idea for modular AF  come from players a long time ago. it's a god idea, but only today we have some possibilites to make it alive. and modular AF will bring us modular bomb targets (and new bomb tagets). and may be we'll create some kind of AI mission economic (each team have an AI contolled crago zones, factories, fields, troops, artillery and and tanks) that will affcect mission progress. - so bombers will not drop bombs to fields but will destroy enemy economic objects to assist entire team. but it's only one of ideas and can't be implemenetd in short time.

Just coming back from a long break, and I'm very impressed with what's been done with EC in the time I've been gone. Great job, and keep up the good work. Modular airfields really excite me, I hope they're able to give bombers something to do that doesn't just end the match. Can't wait to see where this goes!

Just a question out of curiosity, will other dev consider to introduce some of these new concept and module into air RB and AB? I mainly play SB now, so I’am glad that EC get  improvement continuously . However it seems a little bit strange that random air AB & RB gameplay have remained unchanged for 2+ years. In RB, there are few objects for level bombing, 90% of bombers and attackers are useless to their team. Ironically, certain bombers are capable to destroy AF, so they have incredible high repair cost. Players have complained about those issues for a long time.

We plann to replace current AF for all game modes, when new models will be avaiable

Can you prevent capture point mission ending when it's being capped ?

 

I mean I was at the end of cap complete (few seconds to end) and mission was interrupted (ended incomplete by timer) - very annoying. Could it be postponed to end of capping or capping interrupt by arriving enemy ?

nope. we have no this mechanic. i want to add timer to mission objective for more indication in future (we have no this mechanic too, but i easy to done)

@lastGrayAngel  I think it would be nice if we get more and bigger variety of soft ground targets. Right now we have either howitzers that you can destroy just by looking at them and tanks/pillboxes that require big guns. bombs and rockets.

What I would really like to see is some sort of soft but resistant targets that would make gunpods, etc useful in ground attack role. Planes like FW190A5, Ju-87D-5, Hs-129B-2, SBD-3, B-25s, A-20, A-36, could either rely on gun-pods or had lot of guns mounted internally for strafing targets. Right now those planes are useless in such role because if we have soft targets they can be as well killed with any other plane even with single small-calibre MG and hard targets like tanks are immune to MGs and smaller cannons.

As a bonus such targets would also make small bombs (50kg/100lb) more useful. I know they can kill tanks with direct hit but it require lot of skill and taking them to kill howitzers is waste of time since they slow you down and your main armament is good enough.

Fair enough.

 

Tweaks to the cap zones seemed to work nicely. Played a couple of long ECs yesterday and most caps were won, leading to ground battles. Previously I hadn’t seen any caps won.

I'm pretty sure it's been suggested before, but would it be possible to create convoys that would travel to damaged airfields and repair them a certain amount, or maybe even re-open a bombed-out airfield? You could kill two birds with one stone by reducing the possibility of bombers airfield rushing to victory, create another objective to attack/defend, and not have to unrealistically remove airfields as potential target.

A great idea, though currently howitzer and AA does often feels like they have a lot of health.

 

It would be good to see the "MG nest" appear with sandbags and such. Armoured cars too.

Can you please add a little MET information in the EC map, so when I look at the map I can see Server time, weather, Temp. The new weather effects are very cool and makes the whole thing feel really alive and now that things change, a little more information about the world would be useful.

is it possible to use free repair and backups to get free spawns (aka 0SL but usual SP amount)?
Currently other mods can use those features to help make grinding stock planes less painful and increase earning (reason why premium planes comes with much more free repairs).
Can we in SB get free spawns instead? It would also give some use to backups.

okey, draft translation for hotfix is done:

 

  • A new type of air zone capture air the mission “Air supremacy” has been introduced: now, if both teams are in the zone, the capture progress will not reset. Instead, the capture progress will be continued for whichever team has more vehicles in the zone, and when an equal amount of vehicles for each team is in the capture zone, capture progress will not move either way.

  • The mechanism which generates new tasks will now refrain from allowing the same type of task starting several times in a row.

  • All known issues with the unevenness of the landscape of airfields on both Enduring Confrontation missions on the location “Zhengzhou” have been fixed.

  • Additional visuals for sectors on the mission map have been added. Sectors that don’t participate in the formation of the front line (because they are impassable for troops and battles can not be generated on them) are now outlined in white. These sectors are now present at the locations “Zhengzhou” and “Sicily”.

  • A bug responsible for the incorrect generation of the “Air supremacy” zone, which would lead to the zone appearing far from the front line, has been fixed.

  • Capture-identification, and all accompanying messages in the center of the screen during the capture of  air zones, have been removed (only for “Enduring Confrontation” mode).

  • AI bomber setups have been changed (in the direction of increasing the play-time of players) and their bomb loads have been aligned with the following (as far as possible):

we have some historical setups for players for EC mode. but it's only sometime event

Yeah, I wish we'd see those historical EC's more often for sim. The Stalingrad EC was some of the most fun I've had in War Thunder, but it's been what, at least two years now since we last saw it for sim?

good idea. i sent it to other designers. it can't be done via mission - need some code and GUI changes, but i hope we will do it.
