I assumed that it was an Italian modification to German lend-lease vehicles. I could be wrong though, I may remove it until clarification is given.

The Italian Panther was a paper project so I am unsure to add it. Considering War Thunder's stance on paper projects, it might be a waste of effort. The Tiger never equipped Italian troops. Some tankers did go through the training to operate them but Italy never received them.

The possible Italian SdKfz is and interesting photo. Can I get a link to the website it is on?

Doctrine revolving around mobility over heavy armor, I guess.

That is true, but the Italian doctrine was developed for the mountains, a place where trucks and armoured cars have a very hard time going anywhere.

mostly because they are less expensive to build, i think.

Also because they were intended to fight in the north african desert, where the weapon range and accuracy would have been ideal to destroy enemy tanks while being out of their range.

the doctrine of vehicles intended to operate in the mountains is more related to the pre-war vehicles, in this case they were intended to be mostly defensive, like the firsts  M11/39, or very fast and agile like the CV tankettes.

Okay what is with all this armoured cars and trucks? Why did our ancestors like them so much?

Basically, because proper tanks were too expensive :D

As of 1942 "guntrucks" officially became part of the doctrine together with the Semoventi SPGs so as to improve the firepower of the mechanized divisions as a stopgap for more heavily armed and armoured tanks.

Not to mention that they were extremely cheap, easy to maintain and convert, reliable and most of all very effective.

Remember Guy's... ITALY is ITALY. You can only give them tanks that THEY made or what they got a hold of.

So basically we have:

Original Italian Tanks

Borrowed German/US tanks.

Captured French tanks.
