Crew rearrangement panel (GF)

  1. 1. Should Gaijin consider adding such a feature such as a crew rearrangement panel in GF?

Hi all,

So I'm just grinding the Panzer 4 Ausf. H when suddenly! bang! I take a hit from somewhere. I reverse into cover, and check the damage panel on the bottom left. Although I haven't suffered any serious damage, it would appear that my gunner is red, and my commander is orange. (not that the commander matters much, though) Now, I'm familiar with the system that makes it so a wounded crewmember does their duty less effectively; and in this case, the gun turret moves slower. Now, not only do I have to deal with the obnoxious 4 degrees per second turret traverse, but actually a turret traverse rate even slower than that. To be honest, I would have preferred the gunner to die and have the machine gunner take his spot; simply because he would have been able to do his job better.

Therefore, what I'm proposing is that Gaijin add a new sort of menu; a crew management menu, in that you can rearrange the layout of the crew within a tank, in a similar fashion that you use the radio commands with the T button. You press x button and then an illustration of your current crew layout pops up, and you can press y button or use your mouse to swap your wounded gunner and machine gunner around. Not only is this easy to implement, (I'd think) but it'd greatly benefit and improve the survivability of a tank that had been (not fatally) hit.

So to refresh, implement a menu that, while in cover, or at a cap point, allows you to swap crewmembers around; allowing you to swap a gunner that may not be dead, but instead wounded, with another crewmember who is less / not wounded at all. Obviously, such skills such as range-finding and turret traverse would not be the same as with the original gunner, but it'd be better than having him control the gun while wounded. On that note, it would also allow tanks to adopt a sort of 'bunker' like position; say that they are down to two out of four crew, they can move the driver to the loader position, immobilising them but at the same time allowing them to chuck out shells faster. Or, when drafting a new crew member at a cap point, they can choose which crew member that draftee replaces, so instead of having a non-experienced loader firing the gun, he can be moved back to loading, while the new crew member takes the gun, increasing overall combat effectiveness.

Tell me what you think :D

No because crew members are specialised.

On the contrary I think that is crew change position they shoud be less effective (i.e. not benefit from the crew training = having base value).

Yes definitely - firstly stuff like the image I attached happens where the crucial positions are near useless, and secondly I lost my last match on a GE wager because I couldn't swap out my crimson gunner with any of the 4 other healthy crew and couldn't move the gun at all and it kinda ruined my evening (playing KV 220, not referring to below, that's from reddit)
