[eSport] Tank Blitz-tournaments, Apr. 22-23, 2017

Dear War Thunder players, this week we introduce a new tank tournament format - Team Deathmatch "Sparta 4x4".

Each team has 4 players and unlimited spawns, the goal of the mission is to destroy 40 enemy tanks in 25 minutes.

The team who destroyed more tanks or capped the city cap zone wins the match.

ATTENTION!
This week, all the 1х1 blitz-tournaments use the same team confirmation method:

TEAM CAPTAIN HAS TO BE LOGGED IN THE GAME CLIENT AT THE MOMENT OF REGISTRATION ENDING AND TOURNAMENT BRACKET GENERATION! If the captain is not logged in the game client at this appointed time, his team will not participate in the tournament.

We tied in the third round so both teams were disqualified from the tournament. We do understand that its the rule and we respect it but for the future tournaments it would be good to implement a secondary counter to determine the winner and keep both or one (in case of this happening in the loser bracket) in the tournament so teams would not be punished for not loosing on purpose in the last seconds.

Possible choices are:

-Less kills (If a player dies by wrecking or by drowning that should not punish the other team).
-Less hits (skill wise my personal belief is that more frags per less hits should be higher).

-More crits (Crits should count higher than a normal hit).

 

 

That being said, it is an interesting new format that will good with some tweaking (side spawns should be a bit closer to the objective, no team should get first spawn on the objective etc) and we look forward to play it again.

Prizes for the tournaments have been issued.

 

About the Sparta 4x4 tournament, next weekend we are going to lower the number of points per each team to 2400 (each team will need to destroy 24 enemy tanks in order to win).

 

We are going to talk to the mission makers about changing the spawns or, at least, removing the spawns from the opposite side of the lake.

 

Also, for the RB version, we will think about adding some zone for each team where it would be possible to reload ammo/replenish one crew member.
