German or Russia for tanks?

Germany shines at Tier III upwards (Though there are a few gems at lower BR's aswell such as the Gepard, Pz IV F2 and Pz III N) Russia remains competitive throughout, although suffers abit around the BR ranges of 6.0 - 7.0.

Overall, the Sovjet tech tree might be slightly more beginner friendly, whereas the Germans allow you to get more out of the vehicles when skillfully played.

Go British

He is either joking or he wants fresh meat to kill. LOL

Germany is a very quick grind to BR 4.0+. Russia is a close second. US.. third.

Russia is has better low tiers (1,2 and 3), high tiers (4 and 5 ) are both good just different playstyle.

pz I and pz II are ****, pz III is fun, pz IV has epic gun, though it gets ammo racked with each pen

kv-1 (and zis5), kv-2, t-34 and especialy t-34-85 club heavily, when you get to 5.7 the tiger-h is much better than IS-1, although IS-2 at 6.0 is better than tiger-e. The t-34-85 at br 5.3 can club tigers (5.7 and 6.0) all day long though (more than IS which is at 5.7)

Su-85 and su-152 are epic (though no armor), su-122, isu-122 are **** than it gets better until it-1 which is op

Germany until jgpz IV 70 are kinda meh, then they get ALOT BETTER

Panther line is boring as hell because you play Panther D, A, F and G (which is the same tank). Don't get me wrong i loved panther D and A, enjoyed F and got bored at G just because IT'S SO MUCH TO LVL AND IT'S ALL THE SAME TANK. Panther II is meh also but leopard is realy cool in RB (not so much in AB)

T-54 suffer the same problem (only 2 same tanks though but higher lvl), and t-44 (realy bouncy) is cool just crapy gun depression T-62 is a nice tank (not best though)

Maus is useless, t10m is a leopard clubber.

You should go american, they have realy nice high and low tiers, though middle tiers shermans are painful to play. If you want to poop blood, go british. Esepcialy in AB.1ah9rx.jpg1ah9z7.jpg

Neither the game is massively biased towards planes, as a Tanker, its just one really frustrating experience.

Yep, so go SPAA (germans best)

Until you get to Tigers and Panthers, the German tanks are classic 'Glass Cannons' with good guns, but weak armor. The Stugs, technically not tanks, have better armor, but I don't like casement style AFVs.

Overall, I prefer the Russian line. But, what do I know? I've been playing mostly US lately just to do something different.

to be honest it doesnt matter what you play, just have fun.

That's the spirit! And, for a real challenge, play those Tier 1 Brit tanks sometimes. When you get a kill with one, balloons drop from your ceiling and Queen walks into your room playing "We are the Champions!"

I seem to find that provided one adapts one's playstyle and plays well, you can do OK with most tanks; but some lineups are definitely very good at certain levels.

For example, at BR 1.0-1.3, the US lineup of M2A4, M3, and M3A1 is very good, fast and with good fast loading 37 mm guns. A bit fragile, but at that level everyone is. At BR 2.0 the Germans can really wreck with Pz IV E, Gepard, Flakpanzer and Panzerjager. Gepard especially can seem really OP, xaxaxaxaxaxaxa at everything. At BR 3.0 the British with Cromwell V, 3 IGC, Crusader III, and Valentine is also good though I must try the Germans at this BR and see if I can adapt, the half-track based SPAA they have can be lethal. Then at 3.7-4 the Soviets get the T-34 and KV-1 and again can do well. Though I have done well with Brits here and at 4.7 with the Churchills especially. Soviets also good through to 4.7 and that's as far as I've got with them.

Same further up except it seems to be Soviets (5.0-5.3, 6.0, and 7.3) or Germans (5.7 and 6.7). I've tried the British at 6.7 but it seemed an exercise in masochism and unaffordable because of repair costs. Tiger II P is good at 6.3, as is the Jagpanther, and of course the II H and Panther II at great at 6.7. Great but not easy, play against good players and they nail your weak turrets all day while either bouncing everything you throw at them (Soviets especially T-44) or sit hull down and be impenetrable unless lucky (T29).

I agree that having fun is the best guide, I'd start the Germans myself, they're at least competitive from the start. Soviets start slow until the T-34's come in then they're easy mode (tactically especially as they specialise in one shot kills) mostly. Brits are OK lower down but just IMHO, get really hard around 5.0. The Comet is a little ray of light if played right, but until you get the Centurions and Caernarvon it's really hard - and once you get them it's just hard.....and expensive. US apart from the very bottom I rather struggle with though I should take out my 3.7 lineup a bit more and see if I can "get gud" with it. They don't seem bad, but not good either.

Sorry if it's tl:dr

Hmmm. I actually think the T-60 is the most underrated tank in the game. Once you have the skill to not take everyone head on, it's gun can be devastating. Much prefer it to German 20 m.
