Talk with devs about eSports

OK GOT YOUR SQUADRON TIMES, But I need to point out there wrong, because some days they start at 16.00, and then sometimes start at 17.00 British time. And the US doesn't start until 02.00, when it is supposed to start at 01.00. something gone wrong here dude. This needs looking into.

Squadron Battles for European players:

From 17:00 GMT to 22:00 GM

British Summer Time (BST - Britain):

From 18:00 BST to 23:00 BST

They start at 16.00, and finnish at 23.00hrs British time. But like I said they sometimes don't start until 17.00, but still finish at 23.00. So the finish times are correct at 23.00, but not correct start times.

They start at 16.00, and finnish at 23.00hrs British time. But like I said they sometimes don't start until 17.00, but still finish at 23.00. So the finish times are correct at 23.00, but not correct start times.

They always start at 17:00 and run to 23:00 in the current British time, since we swapped to BST it has never started at 16:00, maybe you are remembering the GMT start time which we'll switch back to in I think October. Occasionally SQB starts late or ends early if there is some sort of issue, but it's quite rare, 98% of the time these times are correct to the minute. The US slot starts at 02:00 BST, that's 01:00 GMT which is the other time zone we use in Britain during winter months.

I don't know if those numbers in gold are something that was sent to you but they are incorrect, it is 16:00 to 22:00 GMT, which is 17:00 to 23:00 BST, total slot length is 6 hours not 5, seems like a lot of people are mixing up their time zones.

OK, this is the schedule that is in the configs, I will check the times in the logs on Monday and see that they are fixed and that they be longer than in case that they start later/end earlier.

I have checked once more and updated the times as they are set now. If we are talking about London time, the time frames are:

From 17:00 to 23:00 (European segment)

From 02:00 to 08:00 (American segment)

Zerbah I have no idea where to post this so I'll ask you here;

Has point bleed for personal sqb squadron ratings been deliberately disabled, and if so is that a permanent decision? It seemed to me like it was causing some of the issues with the points not resetting properly, and with the points resetting for everyone at the end of each season it's not as relevant as it was before to have people bleed their points.

In case you don't understand what I am describing after 5 or so days of not playing squadron battles a player would bleed a percentage of their score and continue to do so until they played again. I have observed that this feature doesn't seem to be enabled currently, however it is still described in the game if you hover over personal squadron rating. I'd totally understand if gajin had decided to remove this now the points reset after a set period anyway because it could be fairly frustrating (the end of last season for instance pvvd overtook us but they bled so many more points for inactivity we still took first, much to their dismay), In which case you should remove the section of text that describes how bleed works, but if it is supposed to still be working I just thought i'd let you know that it isn't.

If it's temporarily disabled but you intend to bring it back could you please let us know when that's going to happen so we're not caught off guard, thanks.

Alternatively... remove personal score.

The new system will be a race to get 100 alternate accounts to 1500-1700 points. This is a farm fest, not competition. The grind of the whole thing remains. SqB will not even have a a chance to be credible until this changes.

The ELO personal point system should not have changed, will check this today.

Hello,

I have a question about SQB points system.

We have noticed that it is quite easy to get c.a. 1200 pts, but then when someone have above 1600 pts every lost match costs a lot of points.

So it is actually quite risky to play at that stage.

Would it be possible to present how does individual point rating works (equation/algorithm)?

Regrettably I have not found any information about this - if I am not correct, and such information exists - could you please supply a link?

Best regards,

The SQB point system is built around the 'ello rating'. The basic theory behind it is that you practically don't loose any points until you reach 1500 personal points. If you loose a game under that point range the damage will be minimal. After this threshold however a loss can lead to a bigger reduction of points. The size of this point loss in dependent on the ello rating of the enemy you are playing. If the enemy you are playing has a lower ello rating the point reduction when you loose will be higher than when you loose against a team that has a higher ello rating then your team does.

Your squadrons rating is calculated by adding the top 20 players points + 5 % of the score of all the other players in your squadron outside of the top 20.

Often times the squadron that wins the SQB season does not have to have the best players, but rather a spread of good players that can grind points.

Is there a possibility to maybe make it earlier?

As the 4vs4 Tournament starts at 19:00 and I don't want to hop from the meeting straight into the matches.
