What is your go-to convergence?

Just for kicks. What do you set for gun convergence most of the time? Barring any special circumstance.

For me I've found .60 works well in general.

Convergence varies for me, depending upon gun placement and power.

For weak rifle caliber machineguns, 300 meters.

More powerful guns depend on location.  Fuselage, wing root, or propeller hub mounted guns allow for long range high deflection shots at 800 meters.  Guns mounted further down the wing converge at 400 meters.

400 meters is the one that works the best for me but I also tune it down to 300 when I'm in something like a zero since you usually get into relatively close dogfights in planes like that.

I keep mine at 600 meters because I'd rather not get close in most cases. Also I like to groundpound sometimes.

So convergence will affect guns packed in the nose...?

I used to switch between 400m (mg) and 500m (cannon).

Now, I always am at 500m. Mostly because I am used to it, and I don't want to change my habbit.

500m because I play Sim.

Also handy in Ground Pounding with the Stuka or Me-410 because you can save a little more energy by not getting so low and close.

300m for all aircraft using MG only armaments and the Fw190 A1 (Eg: US fighters, early Spits, etc)

800m for all Fw190s apart from A-1 (Because convergence is no needed for BnZ when you have 4 cannons)

Then usually 400 for the rest of the planes like Grif spit and F8F doomcat.

400m for fighters with wing guns (I love to hose people down at close range~) and 600m for jets and nose mounted guns/cannons for sniping happiness.
Vertical targeting only applies to attackers I have trouble with (stukas mainly).

500 meters, wich is long enough to engage at longer distances but also helps me when I close in. During turnfights I like to stay between 400 and 600 meters away from the target, so 500 works here too.

for nose mounts i always use none. with wide mounts like b57b i use 500, and short wing mounts like spitfire i use none or 800
