Update 16.07.2015 (Server Update)

This is a server update that will be implemented on the game servers within 24 hours. During this time, bug reports regarding specifics mentioned here and their effect in a battle will not be considered as a bug and as such will not be taken into consideration.

  • For all self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicles, the visibility in sniper mode has been increased.
  • M4A3 105: Track guard thickness has been changed from 25.4mm to 9.5mm.
  • The thickness of twin machine guns on the BT series, T-34, KV and IS ground vehicles has been fixed.
  • Track guard thickness for the T-34 series has been fixed: On earlier models (1940-1941) to 13mm, on later models to 20mm.
  • The turret rotation speed of the T-10M has been increased to 17° according to “Domestic armored vehicles 1945-1965”, volume 3, p.56. Increased the cannon’s vertical guidance speed for better simulation of stabiliser work.
  • Excessive penetration of explosive effect for all armour-piercing shells has been reduced. Previously, it was possible to hit enemy tanks through the bottom armour plate or track guards without actual penetration.
  • Reduced the effectiveness of APDS shells when hitting an armour plate inclined at more than 60 degrees.
  • Reduced the effectiveness of APHE shells: The amount of secondary fragments caused by spalling has been reduced by 15% and the penetration of these fragments has been reduced as well. Thus, fuel tanks and other internal modules can now intercept these secondary fragments.

Changes to ‘Enduring Confrontation’ mode (available at the start of the next test):

  • Added a new mission to Enduring Confrontation: ‘Ruhr’.
  • A new objective/scenario has been added: ‘Bomber Escort’.
  • The hitpoints of bases have been slightly increased.
  • The respawn time of bases has been increased from 10 seconds to 2 minutes.
  • The speed of recon aircraft is now limited to 350 km/h. Before this patch, it was possible for them to reach a speed of up to 600 km/h, making it too difficult to detect and shoot them down.

Note: This server update applies to all platforms unless specifically highlighted.

:good: I hope you continue to do so. There are many many very good ideas which are needed to make EC a success. Looking forward to bomber escort.

EC can become the best mode by far and give WT a huge edge over the competition.

Looking forward to seeing how the bomber escort objective works in Enduring Confrontation. Also hoping we see the penetration on the L7 gun fixed soon (dev server bug report had over a dozen sources) given how many buffs we've seen to high tier russian vehicles.

Paired, coupled )

There are no "Twin, paired or coupled" machine guns mounted on mentioned vehicles.

It's a "lost in translation" case probably and it means COAXIAL machine guns.

I don't want to be negative, but I can only say that I hate this patch. Now as for my reasons:

  • The turret rotation speed of the T-10M has been increased to 17° according to “Domestic armored vehicles 1945-1965”, volume 3, p.56. Increased the cannon’s vertical guidance speed for better simulation of stabiliser work.

Another buff to what is already the best heavy tank in the game by far and a part of pretty much undefeatable Russian rank V? I'm ok with it as long as it is a historical change, but the battle rating should reflect the historical performance of the vehicle which it clearly does not. If the useless Maus is rated at 8.0 BR, the T-10M should be at least 12. That's not just a different league, that's a completely different sport...

  • Reduced the effectiveness of APDS shells when hitting an armour plate inclined at more than 60 degrees.

Why? You want people to spam HEAT only and buy premium just to be able to do that? Monetization much?

  • Reduced the effectiveness of APHE shells: The amount of secondary fragments caused by spalling has been reduced by 15% and the penetration of these fragments has been reduced as well. Thus, fuel tanks and other internal modules can now intercept these secondary fragments.

YOU DID WHAT?!? We are already suffering from massive DM issues which are largely caused by garbage post-penetration effects of APHE (APCBC) shells (especially German and American 75/76mm) where you penetrate the side of a tank with an 88mm projectile and stuff just goes yellow (what happened to green anyway, I have never seen it since the patch). Super-human tankers being literally showered by shrapnels, yet somehow not dying is fine? I mean according to these patch notes it's not fine, they need to survive even more.

Serisouly, this game is being turned into super arcrade style slugfest where you need 3-5 penetrating hits to kill a tank which means there is basically no difference between the damage model we have and the "classic" HP system (also usually 3-5 hits to kill a full HP tank of the same tier). And it's such a shame, because the module modelling and damage calculations with variable shell properties make the HP system in both WoT and AW look silly. Only if it worked correctly though...

Good that Enduring  is back and  a new mission was added. But what about the targets for ground attack aircraft. Now they are useless.

All these changes seem good, should help improve game play.... always a good thing. I especially like the mentioned improvements to the EC. And having the players feedback result in specific changes to any game mode is a very positive step in the right direction. Looking forward to giving the EC another go ..... soon....

Thanks and ...    :salute:

Good Luck

For the 'Confrontation' mode, has the Research Point reward system be fixed yet?

Multiple players had noticed this problem and I wonder if any change had been made to that.

ok, T10M had stabiliser. ok because it's historical we give the stabiliser to the T10M. It's ok. But T-10M have also a fantastic armour that is impervius to all gun against he fight. Only few ammo can penetrate the T10M frontaly and all are super heat, and we know that the heat effect is bad simulated and the damege is really poor if you don't hit ammo ( and there are many situation of hit on ammo with heat and no ammorack.......). So on the other side we have the leopard 1, a medium tank that have a great gun, but a ridicolous armour, so if you stop with leo1 you are dead. This tank had stabiliser, and need to move to survive on battlefield, so why gaijin don't give to leopard 1 the stabiliser that was a real point of strenght of this tank?

Paired, coupled )

But those tanks have only one machine gun, unless by "paired or coupled" you mean Co-axial to the main gun. Is that what you mean?
