Odd I do not know this since when younger I read like crazy bout WWII fighter aircraft.  My question....did the Japanese use victory marks?  I do not recall ever reading this nor ever seeing a pic of a Japanese fighter with victory marks.  May have slipped by me....I dunno. If they did not why?  If they did what were they?  Expert needed!  Am sure someone knows ALL about this.  Tks.  Just curious.  Hope I put this in correct forum.

Yes, and it's available in the game (you have to get victories with the A6M2 if I can recall).

Ace Tetsuzo Iwamoto used it:

Tks.  I have just recently began to play the Japanese line.  Zero is currently finally under research.  Want it bad since those low tier Japanese fighters mostly use the 7.7mm guns.  They are maneuverable as h#ll but it takes time to kill with those 2 peashooters.  I want some hitting power....and some victory marks.

Japan Víctor y marks are the harder to get. Only USA planes count. Also there are one different from the birds one, one with the US star crossed by an arrow only available with the pacific campaign.

Note, the victory marks show the plane kill and no the pilot kill because due the low number of planes differents pilots share the same plane.
