Nice to see you've finally opened up for users to edit the wikia. It looks a bit old-fashioned, in my oppinion, but the content seems solid.

You might reach a point where having to accept every submission is going to be a pain in the royal behind, but that's a worry for later. ;)
What's the stats on the page so far? Are people using the wiki? :)

Also, can I request a few links in the top menu bar, linking to the live.warthunder.com page as well as the wiki? The more visible and

easily accessable it is, the better, after all. :)

Edit: I made a news post on the Wikia page, letting the editors there know that you've opened up for users to edit as well.

Yes, there can be lots of submissions sometimes, and all have to be checked before approval. But me and Mario are glad that people contribute the wikipedia just as much as we do.

We might get round to it, but not right this moment.

Good to hear, thanks. fed012.png

Question 1: On the Ju87D-5 wiki entry the description incorrectly states that: "From the start, no speed brakes were mounted under the D-5's wings". The actual aircraft manual and historical Ju 87 D-5 pictures completely disprove this statement. If I were to go into the wiki and edit this incorrect statement out, will the changes also effect the description in-game?

Question 2: For bombing craft, under the 'Armament/Payloads' section, do I input actual historical payloads listed in actual aircraft manuals or in-game payloads found in war thunder? War thunder's payloads are often incorrect & errored & clash significantly with payloads listed in aircraft manuals...

1. It's a @var:description-type description, so it's taken straight from in game. Changing it here won't change it in game though.

2. Do in-game payloads for now, but make a note of historical payloads, such as with the Ki-102 page (Ki-102 doesn't have bombs in-game, but had them historically).

Q1: No, the Wiki API takes the data from "ingame"/Gaijin Main Server. Also: Because the Ju 87D-5 already existed as a page and I now have to delete the useless on you created. Please Search before making new pages.

Q2: The ones ingame. We remain a gaming wikipedia site. Historical information is for ww2vehicles.com & wikipedia.org, our historical segment on the very same page ;)

I've made a few contribs for tanks, preferably just added pros and cons. I never really edited any kind of wiki before but I find it fun now that I "tried" it out here. One dumb question: everytime I click save, my writings/changes won't appear on the actual page, only on the edit and preview. Is this because its waiting for some kind of approval by moderators?

As for now every change pends approval by the moderators "Wiki-Editors" (technically we are mods, but "moderators" would receive GE; our duty is 100% charitable, like your edits ;) ).

And that's a good thing. You would'nt believe how much rubbish users wanna write into the Wikipedia page -.-

I will have a look through your edits.

Remember to crosscheck your edits with existing tank pages. Defaults are listed in the forst post.

However: Most mods are in holiday right now and everything is going slow now.

We are sorry for the inconvenience. We hope to resume to full working power the 2nd Jan. 2015.

Category "Trucks" should added to half truck too? or only to trucks (GAZs), and add "Half trucks" for the other like M13?

Currently we are not suing the term trucks, as the similarities are only due of movement and nothing else.

At a later time we might come back to this with introduction of armoured cars, but for now it does not matter really.

Didn't know this was here. I just edited my way through and learnt off other samples as how I always learnt stuff without needing tutorials...
