Mini-Event on Saturday 9th May, 8:00 PM CEST / 2 pm EDT / 11 am PDT

For this event we need 31 brave pilots. 20 of you will fly the He 111 H-6 or H-3 if you prefer flying with cockpit. The only mandatory equipment that should be researched are 8x 250kg bombs. The other 11 will fly the mighty Spitfire Mk. I.
The usual Aviators of War rules apply for these events. So formation flight is a must!

Also are only Players allowed to take part that have a Joystick because Mouse & Keyboard controlled aircraft behave completely different and this looks really xxxx in a Video.

A great way to get some fresh air on your nose and try out what it is like to fly in Aviators of War, so freshman or seasoned player get your machines ready for a leisure trip

See you in the Skies!
8)s   :salute:

You can find us on the TFD TS (176.57.141.150:9999 PW: tfd) right below the entrance lobby in the Aviators of War Lobby.
Participants of the campaign are designated by the sword icon behind their names.
Remember that you can also login into our in-game channel: AoW to see who is online and ready to take it to the skies, together.

Fellow Aviators,
we are trying to offer you small skirmishes and side battles in a biweekly rotation. All missions are according to Aviators of War rules and offer a great way to try out our campaign, or for our senior pilots to take a break from the demanding campaign missions.

We will beginn the rotation with
August 14th, 1937, as Japan was marching forward in China. At the beginning of the war with Japan, there were about 600 combat aircraft, of which 305 were fighters and the remainder light bombers and reconnaissance aircraft. Medium bombers (the Chinese classified them as “heavy”) were not more than 20 machines.

The mission will be flown on Friday 22nd 9pm CEST / 8pm GMT / 3pm EDT
We would need atleast:
9 G4M1 Japanese bombers (preferably with 2x 250kg bombs)

6 or more Gloster Gladiators

Fellow Aviators,
since Mephisto is unavailable due to ISP difficulties and Bluhm on his own wedding, there is no-one to plan a mission for coming Sunday.
This is to be the perfect time to give Nachladen's event another shot.

So, if you want to fly on Sunday 7th June at 8pm CEST we will fly with Spitfire Mk.1s and He-111 H-3s. Bluhm agreed that your pilots will be granted the sortie if you take part.

Also since this is not a campaign event you don't need to have or be a trained pilot for AoW.

Fellow Aviators,
we are trying to offer you small skirmishes and side battles in a biweekly rotation. All missions are according to Aviators of War rules and offer a great way for new players to try out our campaign, or for our senior pilots to take a break from the demanding campaign missions.

For the 3rd round in the rotation we advance a year and change location to the idyllic coast of St. Tropez,
June 15th, 1940, Italy had just declared war to France and was swiftly moving its Regia Aeronautica across the French border and gaining stronghold. The Armée de l’air was stretching its mere resources to cover ground. Le Gloan and his countrymen were thrust into bitter and violent fighting. As the fighting raged and Le Gloan’s squadron took to the skies time and time again, the entire Group had been reduced to only four operational fighters. With Le Gloan now promoted to Adjudant, the unit was withdrawn to Le Luc airfield in the south of France for their conversion to be using the new D.520.

The mission will be flown on Friday 19th 9pm CEST / 8pm GMT / 3pm EDT
We would need:
4x Dewoitine D.520 French fighters.
or Curtis P-36-C Hawk American fighters.

2x Savoia-Marchetti SM.79 - 1936 Italian bomber.
12x Fiat CR.42 Falco Italian fighter.

In remembrance of Captaine Le Gloan and the brave Italian pilots.

Sorry for the late announcement

Fellow Aviators,
we are trying to offer you small skirmishes and side battles in a biweekly rotation

For the 4th round in the rotation we deviate of the historic path a bit.
The setting is a bit fictional. France is going to prevent the Germans of capture on of the vital border cities.
  • For this mission there is unlimited respawn, but stick to the role you choose your aircraft for.
  • Hence Hurricane MkII with rockets are going for ground attack over an over again, the do not actively engage other enemy planes, but of course defend themselves when being attacked.
  • A pure air superiority fighter is not going to ground attack, just cause there are no other planes around.
  • You fly in formations of 4, and stick together.
  • You only take-off if everyone in your formation is ready again. Meaning, you get shot down, respawn and wait at the AF till all of your friends are back. Then take-off together again.
The mission will be flown on Friday 3rd 9pm CEST / 8pm GMT / 3pm EDT
We would need:
German side:
  • Bf-109 E-1/E-3
  • Bf-110 (one squad of 4 max)
  • He-111 H-3
  • Ju-87B
French side:
  • D.520/521
  • P-36C (one squad of 4 max)
  • Blenheim Mk.I / DB7
  • Hurricane Mk.IIb

Fellow Aviators,
as last weeks event had to be canceled we just resume to the point were we left off.

So enjoy participating in the war that started it all. Join our free Spanish Civil War campaign, that loosely follows the events of this conflict in the early 1930's.
On a reconnaissance mission, German He51 pilots encountered a new communist aircraft, the new I15. German air reconnaissance will have to run a route and report on troop movements, while this new threat will attempt to intercept and destroy them.

Following planes are needed:
  • 4-6 Sm79s (early model) or He51 with floats
  • 8 He51
vs
  • 10-12 I15
The mission will be flown on Friday 17th 9pm CEST / 8pm GMT / 3pm EDT
