ah yes i see. checked the site in the sig, this is what bismarck did a video on. certaintly a challenge, flying with joystick( the shooting and spotting and such is quite harder then flying actually). ill try to be on the next training day thingy majig. Also, is mastering the german language still a requirement?

exactly, that the thing Bismarck made a video about.

And no, mastering another language is not mandatory :D

Having a joystick either - IF you primarily fly bomber, flying a fighter with mouse is way too much hassle.

I'd love to see u on a Sunday or Friday. Just poke one of the guys there that have that sword behind their names ;)

ah no, hate bombers. wellintons in RB are shite to fly, although he111 arent that bad. its just a boring thing those bombers.

actually flying german bombers is not really being a SB scumbag since horrible gunner lay out. anyway fighters is what i have test flown primarily.

ill try to get a feel for things again once i set the joystick thing up again.

Spanish civil war,
Was fought from 17 July 1936 to 1 April 1939 between the Republicans, who were loyal to the democratically elected Spanish Republic, and the Nationalists, a rebel group led by General Francisco Franco. The Nationalists prevailed, and Franco ruled Spain for the next 36 years.

We followed a few of the over 5000 soldiers of Legion Condor, supporting Franco's troops, while bombing harbor facilities.
The republicans tried to prevail but carried away heavy casualties.

I might join up once I get a bit more adept with my PS3 controller and tweak my settings.  :salute:

I have to admit, I never got around how to fiddle with these controllers, been a PC guy since the C64 times. But IIRC there is one or two that fly with controllers. You may wanna gang up with us, use our trainings and missions to adapt and tweak your settings.

Oh, I've just realised that I can't make those times as I live in Sydney, Australia. Ah well...  :dntknw:

Ahh thats a bummer :( Would've been great to work with some Australians again, I kinda miss your distinctive "redneck" style.  :good:  for Australian football, a man's game. Edited by FalloutBoy84

Spain, Malaga, January 20th, 1937

Dear Herman,
finally I have time to write you a few lines my dearest brother, I was precluded a bit the last days. Tell daddy that I got his letter of the 18th and I'm much obliged about the jolly good words, please.
I'm on compulsory break the next days, please dont tell mum, she'd be worried sick again, as I'm in the MASH. On the way back from my last mission, supporting our Italian companions, the engine of my plane failed and I had to bail out. Broke a few bones doing it, but the head physician just reassured me what a die-hard buster I am and that I'll be back in the saddle soon.

By the way, that was a thrilling ride home from the crash-site I tell ya', on the bed of some Spanish jalopy. And the streets, heck, no comparison to our Autobahn. Non the less, I'm very pleased that our boys found me, not to imagine what would've happened if I were brought back into town, which the boys just bombed, that could've gotten nasty.

Now I have a few days to find my bearings, but I already feel the urge to get back to my unit; They don't have it easy either. The enemy has improved, the machines they ride aren't that bad as we're being told. Sleek one-winged fighters, fast as hell and well armed, that I just felt myself. I'm happy that everyone made it back home save and sound, although some planes got beaten up rather good.

I'm positive, non the less, heard that General Franco's troops advancing, though I don't believe the gossip that the war will be over in a month, as long as I'm home soon I don't care.
Thanks for sending me the address of Grete, now I can write her. Don't want the gal to forget her honey-bunny.

All the best, and so long,
your brother Rudolph Jacobs

Aviators of War worked together with the creators of clans.de and pushed out an English version of the main page / CMS.
It is not flawless, and still an early alpha version - but the most important buttons, texts and gadget are
NOW AVAILABLE IN ENGLISH

if you want to switch to English, please contact me for the credentials.
