I think this Map needs to be changed to give more routes out of spawn or a least be given a choice of what spawn to choose?

Make the immunity on respawn  last 10 secs longer would be a stop gap quick fix, whilst the wandering spawn sites are being fixed?

 

 Spawn camping is rife and there is no way to out-flank or avoid the camper, after this last update it has got worse somehow ?

(It already was renown for the dubious ( insert your own adjective) tactic of spawn camping the routes out of base before, now it is total blockade),

What has changed to make the line of sight into a respawn point so easy to hit from distance?

If this is how this map is to be played?

 

I think maybe quit to hanger with this map from now on or find a back door!!!!

 

I did not think I would want this but bring on the combinded Arcade Land / Airwarfare as Soon™™ as possible..

carpet bombing may help? a few team mates may become casualties too, but if it resets the spawn campers back to there own spawn it will be worth it.

Lesser of two evils I thinks? Death from an unseen plane above, or death from a person who would camp in the latrine if :?s

there was one in the game?

 

Does anyone else have any better suggestions?

NE and SE are both bad for spawn camping, but you can easily turn around and head in the other direction out of the spawn, and avoid the "hot" area all together.

 

Also - and I quite enjoy doing this - if you happen to spawn in the SW, with the enemy is at SE, then it's a quick trip across and you can come right up behind all the dirty spawn campers and blast them.

Got to where I just leave when this map is the match.

Almost guaranteed that at least 80% of the teams will be just shooting each other from spawn to spawn.

In 2020, still the worst map in the game. Just can't even stand it. Get a couple kills then go to a real match.

Yep. Teams get hooked up on it, contain themselves while trying to pad their stats, then lose the game. A few days back I got a 5x multi-kill dropping 2 bombs...

 

I always spawn NW or SW in a three-cap game.

Err...you CAN choose the spawn...didnt get this part. Just click on the spawn you want to use BEFORE spawning...

 

Karelia is EXACTLY one map where i HAVE TO CHANGE SPAWN. I always go to the West part and play "open" space...the EAST is a cramped mess.

Even in West you have some spawn issues...but after you drive away you have different possibilities...either go uphill or to the valley...and a few hills can also be used as cover or firing point...

 

I actually started liking this map a lot...i just avoid "concentrations"...

 Couldnt agree more..its infuriating watching the sheep at the NE spawn just there in a sniping battle with the the other sheep from the SE, leaving the few who spawn at either NW or SW to do all the work at B

 

Another plus is, if you spawn at SW and position yourself just right by those rocks by the spawn exit, you have a clear line of sight into A..can always get a few kills on some of the unsuspecting enemy entering A

I see Karealia a map where new players can have fun and learn that in this game there is a thing called spawn camping. Its great for AB, you can face your opponents very quickly.

I remember my first matches in this map, and I really enjoined it, I still do it, its a great map once you know it. Obviously if you are new to this game you will suffer until you know the map, or realize that you can choose the spawn point.

In my opinion, Karelia should be removed from the rotation entirely above, say, 4.0 or so. It's just not suited for higher BR's, where tank guns become more and more powerful, and therefore, more capable of taking out enemy tanks from further away. It's on my ban list, cycling with Normandy, for a very good reason.

Dont get this. I like Karelia a lot...as long as i play on the WEST i am fine with either side...they play different,are fun and what you do has an impact on the outcome. The EAST side is a mess...but i guess some players like it, no shortage of volunteers for the meat grinder there. Quick action to say the least. Ons of the best places to drop artillery ;) .

This i get even less. This is AB subforum...so you cant choose "german planes"...and even if it was RB, i dont really see how that (german planes) would help "spawncamping" or "click to win".

(really asking...may be missing something)

 

Anyhow...my point...Karelia is FUN up to 6.3 at least...not sure higher up...
