  • Update July 10th 2014: Due to my vacation in a different country, the updates to the thread will take me longer than before, for the best way to get my attention is either PM me with the thread link unless i post in that thread.
  • Update August 14th, 2014: my time on the forums has been cut short so i wont be as active as i use to be, so any links, threads, videos that you guys want to be added into the index will need to be PMed to me or placed into a post on this thread ( i will follow this thread so i will get emails when i get replies).

Q:Why am i doing this?
A: because in the 284+ pages (and 9,000+ Topics) in the RB forums alone, Good threads like these are lost and forgotten, now they are saved and are easy to find when someone needs help.
Also some thread are in sections of the forums that people don't venture into alot (like the Academy subforums where it holds a treasure chest of info)

Do you have a Guide? If so tell me and i will add it to the list.

PS Thanks to Flying_Pig2 for the list of Threads and MEGABLASTA for populating the list as-well, it saved allot of time.

Thanks to all content creators!

So after the list got populated with the help of others, i have to say that this forums has some very helpful and hard working individuals who work to help others. Something you don't see allot as games get larger and Larger.

If you like the creators thread/video(s) and found it useful hit the bWIzZx2.jpg on their thread and/or subscribe to their YouTube channel!

I'm not sure if the 163 landing still works, I haven't tried it in .41 and it may be completely out-dated now.

Landing a damaged plane:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvUsnDHO16c

Also I got a guide on doing head to head encounters: EVADE! DON'T F*CKING DO IT!

H2H is just stupid for the most part. It is gambling. If you got the skills, you know not only how to evade a h2h, but also how to gain the advantage after the encounter - by setting the eager beaver up into a trap when he first commit to the h2h...

Seriously, the h2h is a beginners tactic, a desperate one. Any competent pilot will see it as that, and proceed to take the unfortunate witless victim down. For real, people setting up a h2h are really just flagging that they are swimming in too deep water and have not a clue what to do.

(Then one can get philosophical, who is the bigger fool? The fool who sets up a h2h, or the fool who willingly think it's a good idea to play ball and race into it?)

What, another pinned thread so that there is barely any actual content in this subforum?

If you're going to pin this, unpin everything it references. It's redundant.

well there is only one link that is pinned in this subforums (the Guide to Fm threads) some of this stuff is in the academy subforums and that does not get alot of attention.

Is it worth linking to youtube channels which are informative?

I'm thinking about it, there are a few (well decent amount of) good stuff on YouTube.

I find kinda funny that having in excess of 250 videos related to WT, and the plane analysis series being the minority, I'm linked as a source of plane guides only. Not just because I did them months ago and most of them probably are very different nowadays, but because that material probably is for the most part worthless right now.  In some cases I guess they'll serve as a general introduction to the showcased planes, but in some others the flight models have changed so much that their guides are worthless by now.

The really useful stuff about WT in my channel is no longer the plane analysis series (it's why I took those playlists off my channel's frontpage), but the Fighter Combat School. Even while the hillariously broken flight models this game sports makes individual plane analysis irrelevant (only a handful of WT planes handle in a way that somewhat resembles their WW2 real life counterpart), that playlist still teaches proper air combat bassics, essentials of energy fighting, Air Combat Maneouvers, general strategies and tactics both about air combat and online gaming psychology, and a lot more stuff that's going to be useful wether the flight models of the game are accurate or not (and they are not, one of the billion reasons why I decided to leave this game months ago).

Also, given that as I said, I'm no longer playing WT (nor I plan to do so in any foreeseable future unless things drastically change) is the only playlist where I'm going to upload WT related content in the future (it won't feature WT gameplay, but the tips and tactics I'll probably be covering there will be appliable to the game).

Include it if you want.

Your still my favorite RAM  :salute:

As one of those people myself who just enjoys the game without hurting myself by stressing about historical fallacies i seriously miss people as technical, entertaining, and overall as brilliant of a teacher as you.
