So getting back on topic, any idea on an ETA for this lovely tank?

There are no real ETAs on anything ever in development, I know it's subject to change and people will whine if it changes, but some of the sensibile sane people would still love an idea of when ;O

what rank is it?

I hope is rank 3 because it says additional shielding!!!

Yeah, but it has a shorter gun than the "KV-1 ZiS-5" (a completely useless name because it refers to two different tanks... the Model 1941 and the Model 1942, and the '42 has ~45% more front hull armour than the '41, and the '41 has 20% more than the '40 and '39).

So, new German premium tank, I expect a Russian counterpart, wonder what it'll be.

KV-1 1940 s ekranami? A KV-1 Model 1940 with bolted on applique armour. Oh wait...

O.K. I JUST noticed this.

For the love of all that is holy, please give this thing additional BR above the current KV-1. I don't think the KV-1 is invincible, but giving it MORE armor is just trolltastic if it's at the same Tier/BR... I would rather have a decent Tier 3 alternative at a reasonable price anyway.

The "KV-1 ZiS-5" (stupid bloody name for it) should have 95-110 mm all around the turret (depending on model) and 30-90 mm or 20-130 mm on the hull (again, depending on model. This is why KV-1 ZiS-5 is a stupid name, it refers to two different bloody tanks). And the premium will be using the F-32, hence the gun performance will be similar to the first KV-1 in the game (the L-11 is 30.5 calibre lengths, the F-32 is 31.5 calibre lengths, the F-34 is 42.5 calibre lengths. All fire BR-350A as standard).

this is all good, but with that much armor it should have a BR of over 4

Hmm, perhaps. The problem you run into is that the F-34/ZiS-5 with BR-350A, B or SP cannot damage a Tiger 1 from the front at any range, never mind the F-32. The IS-1 is probably better armoured from the front. So this KV-1E (assuming it's a German premium) would be relying on the BR 4.7 IS-1 to be a complete idiot have even the slightest chance (because good luck flanking in a KV-1 s ekranami). A BR of 4.3 would have it fighting IS-1s in about half of its games, and being dead weight to the team because of that.

If Is my remembering right KV-1E was on DEV server at russian side.

Q: Will be available for both sides? Finnish and Russia?

Q2: Will be another premium (axis side)?- regular german steel?

My opinion - KV-1E  might be fine as soviet premium tank. KV-1 with german gun might be better premium for german side.

realy do not like captured planes/tanks as premiums. There are so many low-produced non captured object to add.

Finally, KV-1E looks nice, i will try it :)

Why would it be a Russian premium? Russia invaded Finland and Finland attacked Russia with Germany in revenge. Its got to be German and might be released with the Russian multi turret tank so that both sides get a new premium vehicle.

EDIT: looking at the tree though it looks like Germany is missing a Tier 3 premium. Could it be possible this is tier 3 or tier 2? Would hope tier 3.

Can you clarify what you mean with uniqe and I guess German prem?

Unique, well, I guess in this case it means just that :)
Finns captured 2 KV-1s, and only one was of type KV-1E (KV-1B in Finnish terms)

How many of them were used by Finland?

2 KV-1:s total, Finns called them:

KV-1A (KV-1 model 1942) and KV-1B (KV-1E model 1940)

Source: http://www.jaegerplatoon.net/TANKS7.htm

As a Finn, this will be on my tank pool, but only if it is in the German line. Would be stupid to add it to the Russian line, since the KV-1 is there already, wouldn't you agree??

EDIT:
One thing I would like to ask, is that where does the "tank number 332" come from? Since in Finland, the registration number of the KV-1B was R-170 (later Ps. 272-1 )

The number 322 is painted on the side of the turret in some photographs. If I had to guess (and judging by the font), that was probably the Soviet designation of the vehicle?
