Update 29.05.14 (1.41.7.50)


  • Fixed an issue that was causing FPS drops intermittently during aircraft combat (thanks to all our players that posted logs and replays for us :)
  • Improved help screen for ground vehicle controls.
  • Re-arranged UI element positions in the combat interface (they won’t obstruct each other any more)
  • Fixed an error in the ground vehicle tutorial where ‘zoom in’ wouldn’t trigger its continuation, which made it impossible to complete the tutorial.
  • Fixed an issue that wasn’t allowing re-spawn while player had too little ammunition available.
  • Issue when repair time was being increased whilst upgrading using the ‘field repair’ crew skill has been fixed.
  • Fixed battle mass and transmission parameters of Aufklärungspanzer 38(t). Its mass now is 11 tons, its maximum speed is 58km/h
  • Fixed maximum speed of Pz.Kpfw 38(t) A/F - it is now 42km/h.
  • Fixed maximum fire rate of the M3 75mm cannon (captured M4A2) from 18 to 12 shots per minute.
  • Fixed how the detonation fuse for PzGr39 88-mm AP shells work, the armour thickness on which it would trigger has been reduced by half.
  • Fixed displayed penetration values for OF462 shell (M-30 cannon from SU-122)
  • Fixed displayed armour values of the SU-122 (it wasn’t displaying the armour thickness of the fighting compartment).
  • Fixed after-penetration effect of APHE 57-mm shells of ZIS-2, ZIS-4, ZIS-4M cannons (BR271, 271K, 271M shells). Fragmentation effect parameters of these shells was the same as 45mm AP shells with the same mass. Amount and effect radius of casualty-producing fragments has been increased.
  • Removed phrase "Going Home" whilst playing ground forces.
  • Added new track sounds on cornering.
  • Added authentic Tiger II engine sound.
  • Added authentic Jagdpanzer 38 engine sound.
  • Added "10th Slot" availability in hanger.
  • Fixed several client crashes due to poor connection at the start of the game.

I wasn't aware of that bug O_o

P.S.  I knew grinding the Zis-30 was far too miserable.  Glad to see the gun will now do something besides ventilation.

Are the other Pzgr 39 rounds also being looked at?

The KwK 42 Pzgr 39/42 round also seems to have the above issue, another the projectile weight should be 7.2kg not the 6.8kg which is the projectile weight of the Pzgr 39/1.

Yay.  Another nerf for the German Sherman.  The rate of fire for the actual gun was 20 rounds per minute.  I know the quality is bad, but you lose quality converting pdf into jpg.

 

Here is page 551 from "Sherman: A History of the American Medium Tank" by R.P. Hunnicutt.  The 75mm M3 gun clearly has a ROF of 20 rounds per minute.  Not 12.

The rate of fire for the M4A2 reduced by 2secs based on what info if I may ask?

 

I also would ask which Pzgr 39 '88' 'AP' was 'fixed'?

The APCBC-HE Pzgr 39 round for the KwK 36 or the APCBC-HE  Pzgr 39 or 39/43 round for the KwK 43? or was it for both?

Pfft rate of fire 'balance' has little to do with historical sources it seems...

The M4A2., with a Commander with leadership(if it does anything) at 50+30 and a Loader at 50+30

Rate of fire was 3.5 and now after historical 'balance' is at 5.3.... Two seconds is a eternity for a low velocity gun like the  M3.

 

The Panther line and the Tiger I suffered is same historical 'balance' back in CBT..  11.2 base rate of fire for the KwK 42... with the above commander and loader that is a rof of 9.1 ...try getting a second shot in if the first does'nt do its job.
