[Work in Progress] Heinkel He 277


Finally, I have finished the landing gear for the He 277, just the cockpit to do :D

And here's a few images of the Rheinmetall Borsig MG 131/20 20mm auto cannon used all over the aircraft for defence, Now that I've thought about it, It won't be much fun coming up against that many 20mm guns... :L

I'm a bit jelous bcuz I'm lazy and dumb and can't understand how to use those programs...
BTW...keep up the good work, I guess you're progressing very fast, and I just can't wait for the answer from Gaijin.

do you do that with any plans or just by "feeling"? usually i see people modell with blueprints in the background..

I never plan things out, I always do it by "feeling". It's just how I prefer to do things, and I've had great results from doing that.

I wouldn't knock it just yet, it precludes inclusion on the live servers, but you could still have fun with it in user missions.

I can't wait to get a stable of weird or unusual aircraft in the user missions, I'm hoping it can take over from FSX as my 'civilian' flight sim.

Anyone going to do a Tiger Moth?  :storm:

 

I think in general the CDK release is going to produce a lot of less in-depth models, maps and skin etc. before we start seeing professional-level complete aircraft being produced.

Most people don't have the time to do a 1:1 perfect model, even if they can get hold of the literature to allow them to do so.

The thing is I couldn't find any blueprints that wouldn't come up as too pixelated too use and as a result, I can't be sure if I got something right or not...  :L

And that was what I was using for reference the whole time, along with various other images. So yeah, that's the problem with picking unusual/uncommon aircraft to make. :L

Mmmh the front landing gears look really small compared to the photos, but it could be just an impression.

I'm hoping that after you release this vehicle Gaijin will customize it to suit their needs, and hopefully eventually bring it onto the live server. It is after all one of the few custom aircraft in development and has no doubt caught the eye of some higher ups.

Fixed the front landing gear, now it doesn't 'twiggy' any more :D  Also got to work on making the interior.

PLus...if Gaijin would approve what you guys are creating...they could rework them a bit from another blueprints, as Gaijin has many more resources than you guys...

PLus...if Gaijin would approve what you guys are creating...they could rework them a bit from another blueprints, as Gaijin has many more resources than you guys...

If Gaijin were to re-work them then what would be the point in making them in the first place? 'Cause then the aircraft wouldn't be the original user created one...

I imagine that if Gaijin saw potential for it to be ingame then they would look at it themselves and give their own feedback, but we have yet to see how they work in that regard. In any case, you've got yourself peer review on here :p

lol, compared to some parts of the B-29 this thing is great polygon wise... (seriously the thing has 22,000 polygon landing gear...)

Wait, you can use blender?

Also, good stuff here! Takes a lot of dedication to make this, respect!

You can make the model in any 3D application, but at the end you need do the rest in 3Dsmax.

the overall polycount is not interesting, its the distribution.

As mentioned earlier, this isn't finished, isn't it clear enough that I'm still working on it? And if the " overall polycount is not interesting" then why did you bring it up in you're previous post...... Oh and one more thing I personally would like to see you do better in 5 days, if not then stop complaining and wait for me to get more done on it.

 

You can make the model in any 3D application, but at the end you need do the rest in 3Dsmax.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm guessing that everything that is done in 3Dsmax is just making sore the axis are correct to import into CDK and so on so forth.
