Use as game music - Replaces the War Thunder in-game soundtrack with your selected Internet Radio Station
Station - Manually Select a Radio Station
 
Add Station Button - Add a new Internet Radio Station
Edit Station Button - Edit the name or address of the Radio Station
Remove Station Button - Remove a Radio Station from your List
 
Internet Radio bind key - Turns the Internet Radio function on/off
Previous Station bind key - Switch to previous Station
Next Station bind key - Switch to next Station

Shoutcast

Any site where you can get the .pls media file unless of course you know the IP stream address.
 

Correction: The stream address does not have to be an IP address.  However, the stream must not be running aacp media files as the game does not have support for them (aka, will connect but not play the music).  You can use and address like : http://momori.animenfo.com but you need to find the correct port, example : http://momori.animenfo.com:8080/

 
So Step 1+2:  Get the .pls media file

Step 3+4 : Open file in a Media Player and get the file info.

This is how to manually add radio stations into the game without using the game client.  And it works with stations running MP3 format.  

AAC is still not supported. but its not commonly used so that's the good thing.

 

This method should work whether is a STEAM version or not, if you are still having issues. find the ACES.exe and LAUNCHER.exe in the game folder - Right-click  - Properties - Compatibility - Under Privilege Level, check "Run this as Administrator"  

*To find your game folder from Steam, find the game in your Steam Library, Right-Click - Properties - Local Files - Browse Local Files.

Otherwise just find it in the Directory you installed it in.

 

*** You need to be able to open .BLK files with Notepad

 

Now, to adding stations manually

C:\Users\****\Documents\My Games\WarThunder

 

Go to your My Documents Folder > My Games > WarThunder > Saves

 

In this folder you should have 1 folder, if you have more, that means you use more than one account on that machine.  To know which one, just open the lastlogin.blk and that will let you know which folder.

 

under that folder, open the global.blk file. and find the line " internet_radio_stations{ "

Each Entry needs to be:

 

      station{
        name:t="name of station to appear in game with quotation marks"
        path:t="hostingsite or ip:port number inside quoatation marks"

Take note of the spacing.   There should be a final } to close of the whole set, as with that quote above.

simple question does it effects any fps/ping for low end internet and pc users like me ? im still downloading :salute:

no it doesn't effect fps , bandwidth usage depends on different channels ,however if packet loss occurs, some time game freezes when radio is running.

It will affect the quality of your music - stuttering... but I personally didnt feel any ingame difference... but... thats me.

So I'm trying to get FragRadio(http://fragradio.co.uk/) to work in WT but when I follow the steps as shown above it doesn't give me a station IP, instead it gives me: http://streamlb.fragradio.co.uk:8000/live, which doesn't work. Ideas anyone?

 

What you need to do is find the IP address. You can do that by using the command console or "CMD". Hit the start button. Search CMD. Open it up. Once it is open, type ping "address". For example, in your case it would be

ping fragradio.co.uk

Copy down the address, in this case 188.165.197.80 , attach the what I guess is the port number (8000 for your address) and the http:// to the front, and you should be good to go:

That's because I got the wrong IP, I think it is meant to be 37.59.31.123, but it still does not work for me. I'll have to do some digging.

Thank you, was wondering why normal links weren't working in the radio. But so much nicer to listen to other music and also not my limited selection I have on my computer.

Trying to get music from http://www.trance.fm/#/home.html. Opened my CMD and ping trance.fm got this 37.130.225.180 I added in "http://" at the front and ":8000" at the back. It still doesn't work.

 

Also when I used VLC to get the location I got this instead http://listen.trance.fm/1/192/02

Found the address : http://37.59.31.123:8000/status.xsl  but...the ingame player does not support the type of files (aacp)

Can't get Moray Firth Radio (MFR) to work using this guide. http://radioplayerone.mfr.co.uk/live/ :dntknw:

 

Anyone able to help me out here, as I love MFR and really want to listen while I blast down enemies and get blasted down in my turn :Ps

  Cant connect to the player
