Lavochkin La-5F

Nice info, where did you dig up the b.h.p. and compressor stage info from?

That kind of info can be found pretty much any source about an engine. 1650 was the takeoff HP for the M82, so 1700 for the M82F doesn't seem off. 1850 WEP for M-82FN (ash82FN).

Sorry, but I don't know anything about these kinds of numbers, what they actually mean, and what they got changed from. Would someone mind explaining if this a buff or nerf?

Doesn't necessarily mean they were changed.

  • Take-off (up to 5 minutes) - 1700 bhp at SL (2400 rpm and MAP 1140 mmHg)

1700 HP as SL with WEP/take-off power, with 1.14 ATA (or am I being retarded here? let me know)

Something is wrong here... despite having more engine power, being lighter and having a lower stall speed, the La-5F has a lower Rate of Climb on both 100% and WEP than the earlier La-5?! Is this data sheet not up to date? Is the La-5s datasheet out of date? If both are correct, then something is seriously wrong.
