  1. When you consider the effective thickness and angle of both the base turret and spaced track link armour combined, coupled with your range, ammo choice and the conditons of the shot. There is a clear possible % of ricochet chance there. Its also possible the tracks would cause a premature fuse detonation on the HE filler.
  2. I did not say it was not to the side, I said it was not a direct shot to the side of the turret as you have spaced track links, which also happen to be at a slight angle to your shot.
  3. That shot is not direct to the side, your also shooting at the added tracks on the side, which are angled from your shot it seems in the hit camera.
  4. Its not a case of weather they "count" as a bug. However there are differences between game breaking crashes, launcher issues and game breaking issues (Client stability fixes) and other types of reports.
  5. Firstly, regarding "unofficial patch notes", its all very well reading datamined information, but often its not the whole package and things can and will change by the time the update goes live. Thats not spesific to any of the issues you raised, but a general rule for all things datamined. Secondly, there were a significant amount of reported issues on the Dev Server from both the .com and .ru forums, plus what the Technical Moderators and internal tests found. Simply put, they cannot all be reviewed, assessed, corrected, resolved and fixed in the space between Dev Server and Release in some cases. Once an update is scheduled, there is very little to no room to maneuver on that point due to it also having to be validated by both Steam and Sony. Thus, in the weeks after the patch, as well as the post release issues and tweaks you also have additonal dev server fixes being deployed. It very simply boils down to months of planning and deadlines that must be kept. Thirdly, historical issues such as rounds, models, etc take a significant amount of research and validation time. If something is taking a long time, thats likely because the devs have found conflicting info or issues with the submitted material. All of which takes time to fully process. Take the M103 turret issue for example. Its now fully fixed and resolved, but it took a significant amount of validation and further confirmation. Japanese tanks like the ST-A1 and A2 are even more complex due to the basic nature of Japanese sources and how problematic that whole factor has become. As im sure Mai will be all too able to tell you, that area requires a very significant amount of time and effort. I can assure you these reports are not being "dismissed", im really not sure where your getting that from. The developers do indeed review bug reports and suggestions, however regarding Q and As, that simply cannot be done in the old style anymore due to the amount of time it took to organize the topic, get things translated, the size of the communities growth and the sheer amount of questions received. Thus we keep the Q and As diverse and collect questions from everywhere across the board on a range of topics to address matters for everyone, rather than just a spesific few. Whilst I can appreciate the passion of US tank players just as much as every other player group, this game has 6 nations now and more than just tanks. There are fixes rolling daily and a significant amount across the board in 1.69 behind the scenes. it is indeed all to easy to "loose motivation" when you fixate on certain spesific reports, however when you see and appreciate the wider picture of not just the scale of total reports, developer workload, and effort, but the shere amount of work going on behind the scenes and the countless bugs that are actually being fixed every single day that you realize its far more a complex grand scope that people understand.
  6. Once again, this is not a forgotten report. The D-13 and D-12 have several reported bugs and they indeed have been confirmed and queued for when that model is reworked. It is not gathering dust, nor being ignored. It is queued for the very reasons I have already explained in this topic and wont repeat again. So once again guys, I would ask that we keep this thread on topic as it is not a discussion about bug reports.
  7. The issue with a public tracker is each and every single player has their own opinions on what is a "major" issue and what should be priority issue. Every single person would structure and order things differently and want to see things addressed differently. US tankers would see those bugs as priority, German Pilots would see these bugs as priority and the list goes on. Of course there would be areas of "common" agreement, as there is with BRs, but its not just as simple as that. The Bug Reporting system we have now has been improved and still is being improved, to be as transparent and clear as possible. Tracker IDs, status checks, its all things we do to make these things as clear as possible. But a fully or even semi-public tracker is simply more chaotic and harmful than good. All of our Tech Mods, Senior Techs and myself can give an update to any report when we are provided with an ID. We are always looking at ways and approaches we can take to improve upon this system that we have and will continue to do so. However, I think thats rather enough discussion about bugs in the 1.69 Rumor topic, so lets steer this back on track please guys
  8. As you stated in your first sentence, having only around 100 total development staff, quite the opposite is far more logical. When you have a smaller team, maximizing development time and resources is key. Thus, fixing several very minor issues that are all apart of a larger overall picture that is going to require significant time/work down the line quite clearly means its better to schedule those smaller issues in with that larger work. Rather than having devs bouncing back and forth, its far more logical to have a systematic approach and a logical way of tackling issues in a manor that maximizes development time and resources, so they are spent in the best possible way for the devs, game and ultimately the players sake.
  9. Not at all when you consider 20-40+ machines are added on average every major update, plus ships and all other aspects and elements being developed. A Bug Report being queued can be down to a number of factors such as, as I have previously said, planned model reworks, planned code reworks/updates, planned engine/gameplay reworks, planned feature introductions / mode reworks, ongoing developments or changes in base game code and a developers own schedule of work. A prime example was the Me 163 landing bug which was around 2-3 years old. When the crash mechanics and damage model was reworked, that aircraft's damage was able to be reworked and refined so the issue was resolved. The origonal bug report for that Komet issue was not ignored, it was an ongoing issue that was a part of a larger overall rework.

  11. No report is "forgotten about", its simply a case of plans already in the works, schedules and matters that coincide with other elements. For example bugs on a particular aircraft model will be stacked and queued for what that model is reworked so that the artist can tackle all the problems at once.

We have since changed the rules and recommend that all "missing" ammunition for a vehicle be submitted as a bug report, so that we can properly track it and include tractability.

  18. I have indeed seen this thread and have also responded with the response we had from the devs based on the bug reports that were forwarded regarding the turret armour. BVV has also personally addressed this question in his Q and As going back to when the Maus was first introduced.
  19. There are no plans at the moment for the very same reason they were removed in the first place.
  20. I dont believe I said anywhere that they did not change from design to full production. What I have said, is that it is those plans and the original V1 configuration on which our Maus is based upon.

  22. No problems, that was indeed the situation some time ago. However it was decided it is best to give everyone a fresh start on Italy as the positioning of the existing aircraft would lead for very missmatched start on the tree. Research would be all over the place. Not only this, but the aircraft currently in the German tree have long since been enjoyed and used by many. Their statistics and other data is tied to that and removing them from Germany would thus remove that data from those.
  23. This is incorrect. Everyone will start the Italian tree from fresh. Those who own the German versions will keep them all as collectible vehicles.

  25. Hello there This is a not a bug. 4 x 20mm cannon is just as correct as 2 x 20mm cannon + 4 7.7mm. The Spitfire Vc in game is a Vc tropical and configured with 4 x 20mm cannon. This is both historical and correct for the version we intended to model. Spitfire Vc simply denotes the c wing, which could use either 8 x 7.7, 2 x 20mm + 4 x 7.7 or 4 x 20mm cannon.
  26. Guys this is not a discussion about US tank bug reports. This topic is regarding the Dev server for 1.69. I fully appreciate you guys are awaiting fixes on your reports, however no amount of discussion here back and forth going over topics we have already done before is going to speed things up. The US is not the only nation with pending reports and no nation in game gets special priority over others. We have 3 and 4 year old reports on Spitfires, F8Fs, German and Soviet tank models all the way down to more recent Japanese ground forces and Naval forces. The point is ALL aspects of the game have pending reports. They have been reported, are open and under investigation. No more can be done at this stage. When they are complete, you will know about it. Lots of issues have been fixed in 1.69 across the whole game and there are plenty of changes and new content.
  27. I can tell you the US is not an exception. It is one nation now among 6 others that all have bugs and issues being worked on. The issue is everyone has bugs they would like to see fixed first before others and each person is different.

  30. As has already been said, the British have 2 new top tier tanks this update. Unfortunately everything cannot all come in one update.
  31. Naval Forces testing is done on the Production Server. This dev test is focused on the initial contents of update 1.69.
  32. This patch is about the Italian air force. The F-84G will be added for the Italian tree in 1.69. As I have said, the possibility of it joining the US line is not ruled out later. US players already have some of the best attackers of all ranks and 13 top tier jets.
  33. Im afraid that assumption is simply untrue. If it was needed, the F-84G would have been added for both at the same time. Lots of aircraft are introduced with multiple skins. The US are simply not in need of another jet at the moment.
  34. As a nation with 13 jets currently, no they are not exactly lacking in that department at this current stage. It may be possible in the future, but its hardly needed right at this moment.
  35. The US has some of the best attackers in game currently, including the B-57B at top rank.
  36. The USA already has a multitude of jets around this rank. It has no need for the G variant of the F-84.
