War Thunder State of Flight Models Report: for Game Version 1.39

 

Accurate and published data as of 04/24/2014

 

Legend:

 

Flight models settings meet the data sheets entirely - The aircraft’s settings correspond to the characteristics stated in the manufacturer’s documentation and available test data. The planes behaviour corresponds closely with its historical prototype. All parameters deviations do not exceed 3%.

 

Flight models settings closely meet the data sheets - The aircraft’s settings closely meet the characteristics stated in the manufacturer’s documentation and available test data. However, in order to make the flight model perfect. The flight model designers still miss the data on some of the parameters. Usually there can be a slight difference with the prototype (only noticeable in historical and full-real battles) than the finished model. For the absolute majority of all planes in this category the flight characteristics are correct, but we are still working on making them more precise.


Flight models that are tuned with minor limitations - Aircraft characteristics are tuned according to the data sheets but with some limitations. Our FM designers may not have enough data on the aircraft or some of the aspects of its behaviour. This is because the documents can being lost (by time,war, ect), destroyed, classified, or there is not enough data from a verifiable and reliable source (non-manufacturer or operator) . Unavailable parameters are modelled using special software tools considering the aircraft’s other characteristics and aerodynamics principles. We consistently work on making these flight models more precise to improve and perfect the model.

The missing parameters deviation does not exceed 10%.


Flight models have inaccuracies - These aircraft’s characteristics have deviations of 10% and more. We know about it and are working on these planes flight models.


We consider all the flight models belonging to groups 2, 3, and 4 unfinished and are working on making them closer to their historical prototypes.

Hyperlinks lead to the according planes data sheets. We are constantly adding new information to keep you posted on the flight models tuning process.
