I don't know about the rest of you, but I am fed up with america, the middle east, uav's, night vision kits, grenade launchers, nukes and one man army's.
Whatever happened with the WW2 shooters? I had so much fun playing Medal of Honor, CoD 1,2 and WaW, Brothers in arms.
Today everything is so repetitive, basically everyone tries to copy CoD 4. It was a great game at it's time, but enough is enough. Granted it appeared when the market was over saturated with WW2 shooters, and it was a fresh concept, but I kind of miss the days when you didn't have 3 tactical scopes, 7 AC-130's and 20 predators around you, and everybody is chasing the evil russian and the evil arab. Every. Single. Game.
Maybe they can build a game focused on the psychological side of war (like the first Blops did) and on brotherhood and bonding in wartime. Gearbox promised a next chapter in Brothers in Arms but went silent for 2 years now. Same for Enemy Front.
WW2 shooters need the "Saving Private Ryan" kind of game to reboot the setting. And with today's tech and game devs, it could be nothing short of astonishing.
What do you guys think?
