The problem is that America is lacking most of it's High Tier Prop Planes.  Most people think of the P51D as the end all, be all top fighter of WW2.  While it looks cool, it's just not the best.

 

 

America is missing these top tier prop planes:

P-51H

P-38L

F4U4

F8F

P-47N

 

Meanwhile Germany and Russia already have their top tier prop planes.  But don't fret.  Things will get better.

Worst nation. 

USA - HB korean mm, planes are what they are.

Other nations can get some other HB matches, for US its 24/7 korea (at least for me).

Next would be brits or japanese, though japanese are quite good.

A plane is only as good as the pilot.

The D13 could WEP to 22m/s..... with 35 minutes of total WEP time and 10min bursts of WEP with 5 minutes cooldown in between (dont trust me, ask RAMJB).

A D9 or a D13 should definitely outaccelerate and outclimb a P51. The P-51 has a better level speed, so it should keep energy.

 

Seriously, I find this community stuck on planes that cant claw energy back quick. Yes, there are planes that cant, and to succeed in those, you need to keep energy.

 

Discipline is key.

 

Btw, corsairs are High Tier Planes, so is the P51 D. 1944 planes that are undertiered. So, no, it is not the tiering that is sucky. It is the pilot.

The p51H is post ww2, so is the Corsair F4U-4 afaik (maybe, could be wrong about the F4U-4)

US planes suck. Really!

Nothing changed.

 

 

I was in my brand new and shiny Supercobra. I've placed 3x 37mm rounds on BF109F4... and he fly away. 

 

Meanwhile... another BF109 attacked me with just MGs and few hits got my plane wrecked. SO NICE TO KNOW THAT NOTHING CHANGED ^^

It isn't hard to avoid getting killed by someone diving on you. Just turn into them before they're in gun range and they overshoot.

So i just keep letting them dive and overshoot on me? By then their friends will come and help them.

This is not true, they only had enough MW50 + the GM1 for a whole 10mins of wep.

 

Why? Because the Ta-152 has this and it has 10mins of wep, the Ta-152 has the same engine as the D-13.

 

When both systems were on the Ta-152 could wep and out run P-51 at 10km.

As RAMJB Explained tons of times. Ten minutes of continuous usage, five cooldown after each ten minute burst, and enough MW50 on the D9 for 35 minutes.

 

Ask him, he is far more knowledgeable on the subject. (He has tons of primary sources and secondary sources to reference, too!)

The P-51D realistically did not need to have an exceptionally good climb rate. It's probably pretty fair, but when you have time to cross the English channel... that's more than enough time for any prop plane to get up to top altitude. It only needed to climb as fast as the B-17's it escorted.

Same with the K-4 to again 10mins of MW50 and wep is to not be used without MW50.

 

But if he will kindly post those documents ill read them.

yes you've read wrong. The Fw190DD12/13 series had a rear mounted MW50 tank able to hold 140 liters of the mixture. That was enough for more than more than four full cycles of MW50 injection. Operation of the system (as recomended by the manuals) was in bursts of 10 minutes maximum, with 5 minutes minimum of cooldown, after which the system could be enabled again without risk.

 

Estimated MW50 consumption at Sondernotleistung for the FW190D9 was 150l/h. Make your own maths about how much time the system could be engaged without running out of mixture.

 

 

The quoted part naming me is wrong btw, I was mentioning data by memory. The Fw190D9 had 115liters of MW50 only. That was the one that only had it for three cycles and a half.

Murica is the worst nation? You just got a few new planes....and pretty good FMs now

 

GO play brits, we have very few fighters compared to other nations!

 

GO play japanese they have the same issues.

I think Japan is the worst nation right now, due to DM problems with Spitfires eating up cannon after cannon round and the fact that it seems that every gun except the US 50 cal, the Japanese 20mm, and the Japanese 12.7mm are realistically modeled.

 

America was NEVER the worst nation, in an absolute perspective. It may have seemed that way because it went against the overpowered Germans and D-13s last patch and is going up against UFO La-5's (read : NEW D-13s) this patch, but it is NOT the worst nation.

 

Russia was the worst nation last patch, from an absolute perspective. Except for the 37mm on the 9T, every gun was underpowered (because every gun was a ShVak). But people didn't see this because RU went up against the weak US FM's, so it's weak vs weaker nation, and the problem wasn't as big.

 

From a relative perspective, taking into account only the enemies the nation faces in HB, America was the weakest nation in 1.29, and Japan the weakest nation in 1.31.
